“Friendly, modern and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

What a lovely entrance area and bar this small friendly Hotel has. Friendly staff welcomed us to our really comfortable and clean room - plenty of room to spread out the children's toys! Before dinner we had a drink in the bar. Both the bar and restaurant have a modern but cosy feel with some lovely comfy sofas to sink into. My young children were welcomed by staff and given some extra attention which they thoroughly enjoyed!

After a visit to the fabulous and local Godstone Farm we had dinner in the relaxed restaurant. As one of my children has severe food allergies this can be a stressful experience for us but our waiter patiently and attentively noted down the details of her allergies to tell the chef. What a relief for me! Our food was really tasty - in my opinion you can't beat a tasty beautifully presented Lamb Shank.

The Hotel has been thoughtfully redesigned. It even has a children's playground in the garden so you can sit with a glass of wine while your little one's have fun.

We will definitely be back!

“what a gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

we stayed at the brambletye for only one night but due to our experience we will be back.As motorbike riders we expect and normally recieve shoddy service but the Brambletye staff made us feel so welcome we were shown to our room not just pointed in the general direction we were offered help with the luggage, not much on a bike but still nice. We ate in the restaurant and the food was above average and well worth the price breakfast was very good.
The room was bigger than expected for the low price we paid with refreshments on hand and iron and ironing board and a hair dryer brilliant bathroom with shower gel and lovely big towels very nice bath really enjoyed our stay.
Bibia was so helpful and friendly as were all the staff what a little gem

Room Tip: dont worry about packing a hairdryer or bath stuff as its all there.

“v clean, but with a couple of issues”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

My girlfriend and I had the following opinions of the Brambletye Hotel:
She thought it was very clean and found the staff helpful and friendly, but had a bit of an issue with the decor in the room. I was less concerned about the carpet design but could have done with firmer pillows - their lack of substance seriously affected the quality and quantity of sleep.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you did not have a good nights sleep. Our beds and pillows are from Mattison & Co a large well established hotel bed supplier and were only purchased last year (2011) We always keep spares and housekeeping would have been more than happy to issue new ones. I am also sorry you did not like the decor and carpet, again all were replaced in 2011 with wallpapers from Sandersons, holders of a Royal warrant, and carpets from a contract supplier, used for their hardwearing qualities.
Hopefully if you decide to visit again you will have a better stay
Kind regards

“Twixt Xmas and New Year”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

We stayed at the Brambletye for 3 nights as it was convenient for family commitments in the area. Our room was excellent and spacious - with a separate and newly refurbished bathroom. We had an evening meal at the hotel but were not so keen on the food either then or at breakfast so ate elsewhere on the other evenings. Staff were friendly though could have been a little more welcoming. The hotel is very convenient for the Ashdown Forest area and being situated in Forest Row itself was very pleasant with access to local shops.

Room Tip: We were at the back of the hotel so there was no road noise at all so enjoyed undisturbed nights. Al...

Room smelt a little and there was a constant buzzing noise all night- other than that it was pretty standard really!
