Had a lovely stay at the Blyth hotel. Very welcoming and friendly staff who are always about to help you or have a chat. The food is absolutely out of this world and will leave you full to the brim! Hotel is a lovely old building with nicely decorated rooms. Only downside to the old building is that you have to be very patient to get hot water, took ten mins of running the shower or taps to get any. But it is old after all!! The location is brilliant, walking distance to town and the beach. Will definitely go back, probably in the summer when it's warmer and the water feature on the pier is not frozen solid! the restauant was always very busy, excellent breakfast and evening meal, the room was very warm and clean but looking a little worn in places . we would re-visit this hotel and lovely southwold.

We have just returned from a lovely overnight stay at the Blyth. Fantastic dinner and breakfast. Staff happy and cheerful and willing to help whereever they can. Excellent base for exploring Southwold. Would be happy to return.

Excellent place to stay in Southwold .Have stayed at other hotels in Southwold in the past,but would stay here next time I visit the town.Less stuffy than other town centre hotels.The was food in the restaurant was very good & they were very good about catering for an awkward veggie(me).The chefs homemade bread,etc is delicious. A very comfortable,relaxed stay (in Aldebvurgh room).
