“Very Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Stayed for 1 night last Friday and was very suprised. Hotel was very clean. Nice large comfy bed. Bar open 24 hours and Paul on the nightshift was brilliant putting up with us until after 4am. For what the hotel is you cannot go wrong, yes its basically on the industrial estate but its not like we were on holiday and just needed a room for the night.

“A proper hotel, not just a room!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

I had first discovered Days Inn at Wetherby on the A1, by chance. It was excellent, so when I needed somewhere comfortable to stay whilst on a cycling tour into East Anglia, I headed for the Days Inn at Haverhill. It's on an Industrial Estate on the bypass, with a Harvester Restaurant next to it. Yes, they had a room, and, yes, the price of £68 included a continental breakfast. Whilst not quite as stunning as the one at Wetherby (being a little older), this hotel was very clean and comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff. Most of the other guests were commercial, ranging from truck drivers to "suits" with their laptops etc. Very quiet hotel, and the Harvester provided me with evening sustenance, although the Days Inn does have a bar. Breakfast was perfectly adequate - help yourself style.

“A good night's sleep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2011

I recently stayed here for one night as I had a wedding to go to nearby. The Days Inn offered a convenient location and a good room rate (I booked on the Days Inn website) - plus the reviews on Tripadvisor seemed to suggest it was a fairly safe bet.

I was really satisfied with the hotel and the service received during our stay. We arrived very early and weren't expecting to be able to check in, but thought we'd give it a go. The cheerful guy on reception told us it was no problem as there was a room available for us. It certainly made getting ready for the wedding a bit easier!

The room itself was fairly basic (as you'd expect) but it was clean, the fixtures and fittings were in excellent condition, the bed was huge and most importantly, I had a really good night's sleep! The breakfast was a rather uninspiring cold buffet (a choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, ham, cheese, bread and pastries) but there was plenty to go round so it did the job.

All in all, a good, 'safe' choice if you need a bed for the night in the Haverhill area.

“Good for short stays - nothing spectacular”

I stayed here while visiting colleagues at our facility located in the Industrial park. In that regard, the hotel's locaiton is terrific. Other than that, it is over a mile away from the edge of Haverhill center. But, there is not much there in Haverhill.
The hotel is clean and modern. The room was comfortable. The bar is open 24 hours and the staff there was very friendly.

They charged £9 for 24 hours of wi-fi.

There is a cold breakfast buffet in the morning.

In the parking lot is the Haver Arms Harvester pub, which is a family style restaurant, nothing special. For a good pub and food, you should go to the Crown Inn in Linton or the Plough's Inn in Hundon.

For as large a building as it is, it does not have a fitness center.

So if you just need a room, this fits the bill. Just do not expect more.

“Pretty much your standard Days Inn, and that's a good thing.”

Stayed 3 nights for a wedding in Finchingfield. Didn't spend much time in the hotel, but noted the room was excellent, very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar was open 24 hours for residents. Breakfast was good, only buffet but good bread and stuff, although I missed the sausages I had experienced in the Days Inn Luton! As is the way in UK these days (I am a grumpy old man!) you need post codes to take a taxi anywhere..we had a couple of comical taxi rides to Great Leighs and Finchingfield. As there is no restaurant, those in a hurry (as we were) walk 2 minutes to the Haver Arms, which is a Harvester pub, and so close as to appear attached at first. Friendly pub, good food, but beware wine out the barrel..it's all foul! If you can find Great Leighs, there is the oldest Inn in England, called the St. Anne's Castle..excellent music venue, good beers and food, friendly bar staff and locals.
