Just spent a lovely relaxing weekend in Norfolk staying at excellent luxury B&B, Cleat House. The owners, Rob and Linda are warm and friendly and a mine of local information. The scrumptious cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch, and served in the pleasant walled garden. We stayed in the Kelling room, which had the biggest en-suit bathroom I've ever seen. Everything was spotlessly clean and tasteful especially the huge Christy towels, toiletries and quality bed linen. The homely bedroom was well proportioned, at the front of the house, looking out onto a quiet road which was less than a 10 minute walk from town. Linda is clearly a keen cook and her vegetarian breakfast menu made a nice change from the usual meat free fry up. The meat and fish breakfast options were also varied and delicious. Linda also kindly booked us a table at nearby restaurant No 10. The food there was exquisite.
Sherringham is a delightful quaint seaside town. We were impressed with the number of eateries in the town, and vegetarians seemed to be well catered for (especially surprising considering it's a seaside resort!). We had a lovely time walking along the coast path to Sherringham Park. Blickling Hall, half an hour away by car, is also well worth a visit.
We'll definitely be back.
