just returned from a couple of nights away with my husband - children left with grandparents !
The Eton Lodge is a lovely B&B, it is tastfully decorated, very comfortable, warm and has a few little touches that show care and thought!
The owners are lovely and sure know how to make you welcome.
Splendid breakfast too !!

many thanks x

“Very welcoming, we loved it.”

We only stopped one night to get some sea air and this was the perfect place. It was so comfy and welcoming, we made time for an afternoon nap on our first day!! Our room was clean and a full size double and the house generally was peaceful and perfectally located just five mins from the sea. Caren and Stewart were lovely hosts and very helpful and genuine. My boyfriend didn't stop talking about his cooked breakfast all day and my poached egg was pretty good too! We will be going back.

“Fantastic place and people”

As a Frenchman touring the UK, and not really used to B&B's, I found myself in Norfolk for the first time in my life, and I really enjoyed it! Eton Lodge is very well located, 5 minutes walking from the seaside, and the house is very charming. The room was lovely, clean and quiet, and so was the bathroom. I love the idea of a little fridge in the room!
Stewart and Caren are very welcoming, and will provide you any information you want about what's to be seen in the area, which is useful when you don't know anything about it! (bonus: a very complete book, compiling the restaurants, activities, sceneries... of the area, is in the room as well, it proved useful as well!)
I tried for the first time in my life a real English breakfast, and I loved it! Poached eggs, mushrooms, bacon... fills you up for a day! And I really enjoyed the natural light coming into the breakfast room through the bay windows, it feels really quiet in the morning.
In a few words, thank you for a wonderful stay, and I'll definitely come back again, maybe spring or autumn, to see something different!

“Very good breakfast but cold breakfast room!”

This looked so very good on the web. However, the first thing we noticed when we arrived was that the stair carpet was worn, which didn't give a very good first impression. The bottled water, chocolates and fresh milk in the fridge in our room were all very welcome. Other reviews mentioned fruit in the room which was replenished daily. We never once saw this during our stay.
The road outside was surprisingly busy - it seemed to be a cut-through to the town. Our room was pleasant, but not as clean as we expected. The powerful shower was nice, but the bathroom was very strange smelling and the toilet was extremely noisy which has been mentioned in other reviews. Could not fault the breakfast, but the breakfast room was very chilly in the morning - and no cushions on the chairs - not very cosy!
Overall, we were disappointed. :(

“Best B&B of the holiday”

Both myself and my wife agreed that this was the best B&B of our holiday. The apple rings at breakfast clinched the deal over one other at the end of the week. Handy for an evening meal in the town, parking for our cycles.
