Stayed at this hotel for the weekend following a recommendation from a friend.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had booked a superior queen, but were upgraded to a suite - nice! Our room (108) was very clean, extremely comfortable and spacious with a view of the sea - really lovely room and a nice big bright airy bathroom.
There was plenty of choice for breakfast with a lovely table in the conservatory area looking out across the lawns to the sea. The pub next door is great for a drink, with fire in the bar area, real ales and great food.
We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening and that was the only thing that we would do differently. The food was good (not excellent) and not over priced - 2 course £22 each. The main problem is there is no atmosphere. We had booked for 7.30 and by 8.30pm they were setting the last of the tables around us for breakfast. It would not take much to improve. Having said that it was then only a short stroll to the pub next door for some atmosphere and a cozy drink.
Lovely location, comfortable hotel, great staff, lots of areas to chill - so a thumbs up from us!

Stayed here for a weekend. Very nice hotel in stunning location by the sea. Nice room, good service. Very reasonable rate for B & B. I believe they are planning a big expansion so obviously doing well. Would definiteley recommend for couples, singes or a family group. And there's a nice pub - The Ancient mariner - attached.

The single glazed windows have not been replaced but that causes no problems and I was there during a winter gale.
The Premier Double, actually a very comfortable suit, was warm, with comfortably upholstered lounge with TV and drinks tray. The bed was very sleep provoking with TV, if required. The bathroom was very good with ample hot water and big bath.
The "all local" staff were friendly and efficient without too great a presence. The room was very well serviced each day. The food was excellent and well served. After dinner the open fire in the lounge was most relaxing. Craft shop opposite is well worth a visit.
Good location for touring, golf, painting, writing, relaxing or group visits.

Originally asked for superior room, but due to none being available- offered suite at room price. Greeted warmly by reception upon arrival. The room was perfect. It overlooked the sea. Extremely comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. The water fell from the taps like Niagara Falls- but hot! The staff were very pleasant and professional. Despite a wedding reception taking place, they remained attentive and happy to oblige.The evening meal was superb. We took coffee in the comfortable lounge afterwards. Breakfast was delicious and served by pleasant staff. We will return,and hopefully enjoy the hotel and area in the summer.
