We had a lovely stay at Villa Medusa. The swimming pool is hands down the most immaculately sparkling one I've ever seen--important when it's hot out! We were too early in season for the snack bar to be open, but it was obvious that it would make the pool the perfect place to hang out.

Our room was spacious and clean, with a great front deck/balcony for breakfasting. We found it convenient to have a car here, but there are several small villages down the hill that are an easy walk, with lots of great restaurants/bakeries/supermarket. The staff was attentive but not overbearing, and we found ourselves comfortable, and wanting for nothing.

we stayed here twice our second time we got engaged by the bar nicos and his wife are a lovely couple who couldnt do enough for us the location is great if you want to chill during the day and you can easily walk into the night life the restaurants in the square in old hersonnisis are the best ever cant wait to go back some time soon

I would say that in Villa Medusa (I think that this is the correct spelling but I might be wrong) you can find probably the best studios apartments in the area. The rooms are very nice, with amazing view and with air-conditioner (never book a room without air-conditioner!). The pool is an excellent place to start off your day, but don't have too much food at the mini-bar because you will miss out at Cretan food at the Hersonissos village which is only 5 min walk away. Beach is pretty close, staff is very friendly and the prices are very good. It's great value for money! Would love to go back soon!

I stayed there last year and I thought that the place was awesome!!!! The location is very good, I like it that it is in the Old Hersonissos Village and not in the Port because the village is soo beautiful. In addition, it is very close to the city of Herakleion and to the Lassithi Plateau (do not neglect to visit all the small villages there!), and to the beach, of course!
The staff is very friendly, which is very important, I hate it when the staff is rude, it makes me feel not welcomed. However, Nikos and Athina were very hospitable and what I call "true professionals" . The prices are fair (much cheaper than most of the other places I have stayed in Hersonissos) and the rooms are of very good quality and with air-condition (this is great for those hot nights which are common in Greece). Also, I found that the food and drinks sold at the bar were of very good quality (in another hotel in Hersonissos the ham they served us with our toasts had gone bad!).
I have already booked a room to go again this summer and I definitely recommend it!! :-D
