We stayed at the hotel in August 2010 and had there our worst holidays ever. Our children came back home with skin problems after spending the day at the swimming pool and it seemed that the waiters and waitresses were more keen at pleasing the Russian customers than the rest of the tourists. On top of that, the quality of the night shows was just average and the infrastructure somewhat old. We shared our point of view with the Manager on the last day. Although he politely listened to us, we did not have the feeling that our comments changed his personal convictions.

I was having a rest at Aldemar Knossos Royal this September and it was a trip I really was happy about!
The location of the hotel is perfect. This is the first line of the sea, so you can just get up and go to swim right away.... few seconds and you are on the beach and in the sea ) Moreover, there are several pools so if there are too big waves on the sea (as it was while my trip), you can use them.
Rooms are very comfortable and cozy, having everything necessary in them ) The whole area of the hotel designed in such a good and pretty way, with much of flowers, trees, grass etc that you feel urself like being in Edem) at least, for me it was like that :))
Quality of food was really perfect. Wide choice of dishes and that I liked most, healthy food mainly... Much of fruits and vegetables, fish etc. Delicious and useful :)
Animation team was also very good, there was an activity during the whole day from the morning to the evening. Very interesting and exciting.
I also chose a hotel with a gym, so went to train here...Very good place... not crowded)
Also there were wonderful excursions, many new friends etc.
So after all this going on together during one week I loved Greece forever and plan to return there once again, and the same hotel!!! I got the best rest ever!!!

Just returned from Knossos Royal Village. This is a lovely hotel in beautiful grounds with lots of space for everyone. The staff were excellent and always ready to help. Wasn't hugely impressed with the buffet which tended to be very much like a canteen. Feel that overall this hotel definitely doesn't have the finer touches which give a five star rating. Would definitely return but tended to have high expectations after reading the reviews.

We just came back from five wonderful days and night in Knossos Royal village. It's the end of season, the hotel was almost empty, however the staff was very helpful and polite, and did everything to make our stay exceptional. We received on the first day a regular double room, with a very hard matress. The next morning, we were moved, upgraded to a sea view room, with one of the best beds I ever slept in. It was to cold to enjoy the beautiful pools around the gardens, so we explored the country side. Again, thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
