The maisonette we were staying was very clean with all equipment almost new. Very nice sea view from the small balcony. People were polite and helpful.

Do you want a comfortable, relaxing holiday ? If the answer is yes then AVOID the Dirty Petra Village. Ive had the misfortune of staying here before (penny pinching employer) and it is without doubt the worst accomodation ive ever experienced. (ex army)

Its very strange to see good reviews for this hotel.Iwonder who writes them. The complex is unkept, the rooms are ant infested and dirty, the 4 family staff owners are totally self absorbed,playing cards,smoking at bar and no doubt counting your hard earned etc. Thats right only 4 members of staff who run the complex - and a couple of cleaners

If Gordon Ramsay was a hotel Inspector this place would be closed.

My advice would be to look at the photos. Consider ALL the reviews especially the ones pushed to the bottom on last pages. Come to your own conclusion.

We booked our holiday 2 days before we went and were not disappointed with the accommodation in general, or the facilities at the hotel. For a 2 star stay the apartment was good with private balcony and excellent maid service daily. The apartments stretch up the hillside, we stayed in 2 as we paid 20 euro extra to stay on due to late flight. the first in C block was not far to walk and had a good view, the second in E block was a short walk up the mountain but had the superior view, but also more mozzies. The pool was lovely and the bar area also nice to be around. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help us and improve our stay, Linda especially. The only negative to the holiday was that the young bar-man (Vas) did try to rip us off 2 of the 3 nights we spent at the bar so please watch your change. Both times we gave 20 euro for 2 drinks and got change for a 10 (2 euro) when we questioned him he said nothing and immediately gave us another 10 euro change, hmmm? Out of the hotel turn left and wander up the road 10 minutes to around 30 different bars and restaurants, some of the best food you will eat, we made a good friend there, manos at the adriadni restaurant. Would definetly go again, recommended for couples it's all very romantic!!

we had two weeks here and found it a superb location just a 10 minute walk from the main town and Vas and Zaga were perfect hosts and everone on reception and the cleaners were just so friendly and helpful you could not ask for more and we had a five year old with us who had the time of his life playing in and out of the pool with all the staff very attentive and the village along offers some great places to eat just a five minute walk away i dont know where the people who wrote the bad reviews stayed but us and anyone else who stayed there had a great time while we were there.Vas i must thank you for the great time we had. thanks Eamonn
