We stayed here for 11 nights. We ended up here by default (because of a cock-up by travel agent) Originally we booked for Spanish apartments with activities & facilities for the kids, but the Spanish hotel was not as described. We opted to change to Crete. Despite the lack of organised kids' activities, we were not disappointed by Dia Apartments!
We had a great time, the room was spotless, bins & sheets changed more often than we expected by very friendly efficient staff. As we had a toddler & two young teens we were grateful of the chatty staff who welcomed children. The pool was small but well maintained. Nicos always made sure the sun beds were not reserved "over night". There were a mix of nationalities & ages staying there. Because of being relatively small, the place was well run and organised, Nicos and the staff were always busy either running the place or mixing with guests, which gave us all a pleasurable holiday.
If there is a downside, there are steps around the property which make moving about difficult with a pushchair or mobility problems, if you had no-one to assist you. The 10 minute walk downhill to shops, and then on through town to the beach is a bit of a hike coming back up in the heat, especially if you're pregnant! But it was fine if you're sensible. Cooking area minimal, but we ate out most nights as planned.
We would feel welcomed back in the future and were sad to leave. Lovely setting, nice views, nice breeze even though it was August.
