5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

just returned from Dimitra hotel today and we had a brilliant time .Staff / owner dimitri and sister maria are brilliant and very welcoming .Hotel was clean and breakfast continental style . This hotel suited us for a quiet getaway and we will definetly go back - is 10minute walk down a hill to a sandy beach and is easily accessible.Highly recommended for a brilliant holiday

Room Tip: 3rd floor for sea views are the best

“Fantastic Family Run Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

What can we say fantastic hotel the best we have ever stayed in on crete,The hotel was spotless and so was the pool area, Dimitris & maria make you feel very welcome.
Very quiet at night a great nights sleep what more could anyone ask.
Close to the town and sea front ,Try the tarantella restaurant on the side road just past the supermarket.
Breakfast was good and food was always fresh, We had a bar meal and found it good value.
Drinks at the bar are better priced than some bars in the town.
We will be making this our regular place to stay when in crete. Roll on next year.

Thanks for a great holiday

Room Tip: You can hire a fridge for your drinks.

“Gem of a Small Family Run Hotel”

Just got back from a 1 week stay, and can only echo the other reviews here:-

A 2* hotel that punches way above its weight. 20 min walk into the port area, just far enough away to let the frenetic Hersonnissos activities of the town fade into the background.

Very relaxed atmosphere, great pool, kept scrupulously clean, but most of all Dimitris and Maria will make you feel so welcome.

If you want a hotel full of Brits then don't bother - the clientelle is cosmopolitan, and everyone on our stay seemed to pick up on the relaxed nature of this place and had a great time.

Wasn't sure about booking a basic hotel, but have no doubt that we will be joining others who have become regulars of the Dimitra. We had our 14 year old son with us who is normally into doing all sorts, and we were concerned he might get bored - no chance, he too adored the place.

Can not recommend this place highly enough - thanks for making our holiday one to remember

“Best quality and very classic”

4 of us; two parents, a daughter and her friend stayed for the last two weeks of July. It was exceptionally hot, but with sea facing rooms attracting a welcome morning and evening breeze, the rooms were elegant, clean and comfortable. The rest of the hotel was well designed: big bar, reception and balcony with sea views, as well as the well maintained and good pool (excellent design and depth) meant the hotel was a fine place to be when the attractions of the beach or town were exhausted.
Cosmopolitan guests - simple but ample and ideal breakfast was a very good way to start the day.
The hotel service from all was top quality: friendly, helpful, but also non-intrusive. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask the owners beforehand.

“In general, we will come again!”

Hotel Dimitra 2 * impressed us! Almost all rooms are with sea views, air-conditioned. Location 300m from the beach, the most cheerful youth STAR BEACH, next to the supermarket, the center and night life within walking distance.
The friendly owners, Maria and Dimitry are very caring and kind.
Breakfasts were quite normal, something was changing every day. Swimming pool is clean, thats important.
In general, we will come again!
