We chose this inn based upon Trip Advisor reviews. It's a nice place. Nicest feature for us was the big front porch where we were able to sit in the evening, enjoy a glass of wine (the inn provides beerm soda, water, and cookies/brownines) and chat with the other guests. Given that Geneva on the Lake is a typical "water" tourist town...with lots of honky tonk, and this one with a particular welcome to bikers (!), this is certainly one of two or three places to stay. It is located toward the north end of town, so it's mercifully somewhat removed from the fudge/tee shirt/bars environment of "downtown." Rooms are very small with the exception of the King suite (which we would certainly reserve if returning sometime) but bathroom was spacious and bed was very comfortable. There was no room for a table or desk on which one might put a laptop, and wi-fi as received on the front porch was spotty. The house is in need of some TLC...window paint peeling/no screens on windows etc. One rather quirky thing...breakfast is served at 9 AM and that's it! If you have to be on the road earlier, forget it. And if you happen to arrive a few minutes past 9 your eggs and potatoes will be cold. Seemed strange to us that food wasn't kept hot in chafing dishes or on warming plates. Perhaps it was just the day we were there but all of the outstanding specially baked items that we read about in other reviews were missing, save some very nice muffins. We didn't meet the owners until we were about to depart, but Lu (the only one we met) was very friendly.
