We have taken up the feedback on the Candle- light dinner, wherein we have decided to serve a TABLE DE HOTE menu for the guests. This would be implemented at the earliest possible date. In fact no Honeymoon guests so far had raised this point to us. They have been very happy with their Candle- Light Dinner so far. I am sure once the table service is introduced, the whole experience would be even better.

I disagree with the comparison of rates between Vythiri Resort and Orange County Resort. No doubt we all have high respect to Orange County Resort, but there is a marked differences in the prices of Orange County Resort (both Coorg and Kabini) and Vythiri Resort in comparison with the category of rooms. Vythiri Resort never claim to be a Five Star Luxury Resort. This is a Rustic, Nature Theme Resort. We do not offer the modern comforts in the room. But we score in the total Natural Experience which we are confident to have an edge over most of other resorts. This is not only our claim, but most of our guests feedbacks say so.

Sometimes the room cleanliness has been questioned at Vythiri. The main reason is the usage of clay tiles for the floor. Clay tiles help a healthy living in a house. Many a times the clay feel and look has conveyed an unclean feel of the room to few guests, which actually is not 100% true. Also sometimes the terrain (the rain forest) is also a challenge to us in extending a 100% spotless room to a guest. We are working harder in this angle to extend the room in the best clean form to our guest. Our sincere apologies to you sir / madam, if the room has not come up to your expectation.

Our various activities include: Yoga & Meditation in the morning, Guided Trekking in the morning & Evening, Guided Bird & Butterfly watching options (During day time on request), Indoor & Outdoor Games, Plantation visit etc. There are many sightseeing options available in Wayanad, including Elephant ride and adventure sports activities (mentioned in the activity board in the Lobby). You are most welcome to our Travel Desk and we would be delighted to suggest various sightseeing and other options available according to various season. The CD presented is a video of Birds and Butterflies taken in by our Naturalist at Vythiri Resort and its campus. We are proud to show this video since you cannot see all these birds and butterflies during one / two / three nights stay at Vythiri. Many of these birds and butterflies are migratory and one would be able to see them over a period of time only.

There was another important point mentioned about few of the dishes being repeated for 3 days. We assume that this is mainly on the Lunch menu where we have a main spread of Kerala / South Indian cuisine focus. A Kerala Meal consists of many standard dishes like: KALAN, AVIYAL, THORAN, PACHDI etc. The look of a particular item would be almost similar on different days, but the main ingredients on different days would be different. For example if we have Ladies Finger Sambar on one day, we may have a Shallots Sambar the second day. Yet the feel and look of both Sambar for a non South Indian guest would be the same, but in reality it is different.

We would like to assure all our guests a very good experience with Nature as most of the guests’ feedbacks in Trip Advisor and also have given in the feedback register placed at the resort.
