“Nice experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2012

The access road is little difficult to negotiate if you are not a seasoned driver. Get proper directions before starting off about the landmarks and their names, then you can cross check with the local people on the way. It offers wonderful views of green hills all around. We had the Cottage on stilts, the one near the dining area and it offered a great view of sunrise.
The 'view point' is under construction but you can make your way to the top and find a couple of benches to enjoy a 180 degree view of the hills. Very isolated location and you will have your space. They dont accept cards so carry all the cash you are going to need. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable. The bath has a tub and everything is maintained very clean. Food was a mixed experience. Slightly on the bland side. It was good food except on 2 occassions where it was too bland for my liking, then again that's subjective. The executive is good and takes care of all your needs well.
We had stayed on weekdays so there were no other guests. They offer bicycles but as the plantations is on hills not much use. It is located after Meppadi near Ripon and the route is very scenic with tea gardens. But you dont get a view of the tea gardens from the resort.
It is definitely worth the cost.

Room Tip: Cottage on Stilts are very good. There is also the Hill top cottage which looked great.

“Definitely worth it!!!”

The place is absolutely beautiful...and so are the villas. Its a perfect bet if what you want is to spend some quiet time, soaking in the awe inspiring beauty of the Sahyadris. The view point gives you a ring side seat to an amazing sunrise that makes everything else seem trivial in comparison. The amenities are good, and the staff are very courteous and eager to help.

On the downside, be careful about snakes (after all, its the Garden of Eden!! ;)). We saw two during our stay of 3 nights. Carry a torch/emergency lantern if you are walking outside in the dark.

Also, the food can be improved, especially in the choice of vegetarian items. The kitchen section needs to have a better catering plan to suit the needs of the guests.

All in all, the place is definitely worth seeing.

Room Tip: Go for the cottages on stilts...amazing views!!

“Best View in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

Garden of eden is an awesome resort having an out of the world view of the cofee plantations. Located in wayanad. I was here for two days and enjoyed every moment of my stay. We got all kind of cuisines there starting form homely kerala cuisine to indian and continental. Swimming pool was big in an open area. No televisions in the rooms as their motto is to enjoy the vacation. The location of hotel is a little tricky but hotel staff helped us in finding it. I would say a MUST visit place. The only bad thing i found is the water problem, the gysers were not working properly.

Room Tip: Go for cottages on stilts. They are the best.

“I can hardly wait for my next visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

If you thought that heading out to the hills in the rains is a bad idea, then think again…
I headed to My Garden of Eden’ in Wayanad, earlier this week, and thoroughly enjoyed the time that I had spent here. ‘My Garden of Eden’ is a boutique hideaway located near Rippon. Spread over 25 acres, it has 7 independent cottages (3 of them on stilts); a multi-cuisine restaurant and a swimming pool. My Garden of Eden which is surrounded by rainforests is beautiful beyond words. When it rains here, a sea of beautiful mist had enveloped the nearby hills. I have never seen one like this before. ‘My Garden of Eden’ offers some breathtaking views of the Meenmutty Falls; one of the largest waterfalls in Kerala.

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe cottage on stilts- it has got some of the best views.

“Best way to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

The Place is amazing, with its scenic beauty and luxurious facilities. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Though its in the interior parts of the Ghats, it was not difficult to find the place, as the route map provided was specific. The food is amazing. Though its Kerala cuisine served, the food tasted excellent. Hats-off to the chefs [photo attached] The in house staff are always present at your service. It was a very well organized place for anybody to relax and enjoy Nature.
