“Peace in beautifull surroundings”

If you are in this area, do not miss this small heritage hotel. All the staff are local and have been trained by the charming owners Mr and Mrs Lal. Their language skills may be alittle lacking, but they make up for this with kindness and friendliness. One meets the chef on the lawn over tea, to discuss the dinner menu. You will certainly enjoy the fruits of his labours. All the rooms are different- our large room was in the annexe. There were a lot of electrical switches but this is commonplace in old Indian buildings. A bonus will be if you meet the owners Mr and Mrs Lal. They are not always at the hotel as they have ahome in Delhi and business interests there, but their influence at the hotel, even if they are not in residence, is very obvious

“charming and unique”

there are a small number of rooms with names not numbers. You are treated almost like guests of the family in an old country home where staff are the servants. Owners are keen to help you get as much as possible from your stay and the area. Complimentary tea is served in the late afternoon including cucumber sandwiches! Food is excellent. Very relaxing. A unique place to stay. Would love to go back. Only down side is old fashioned not very efficient plumbing and no fridge or television in the rooms if you really feel the need.

An oasis in the wonderful countryside. Rooms are large and well furnished. The food was wonderful and the attentive staff were a credit to the hotel. Thoroughly recommend a stay plus a walk through the heritage village just a short walk from the garden gates.

“The Wonders Of The Judges Court by Karan Bhalla”

Pragpur is a beautiful place in the heart of Himachal Pradesh.it is worth while sitting in train for 5 and a half hours. There is also a 2 hour car journey full of beautiful sights like temples, rivers and lots of greenary surrounding it.This jouney leads us to the beautiful Judges Court. The Judges Court is surrounded by the Kangra Valleys. one can go for sight seeing walks to the village or stroll down to the market area where you can get almost anything. There is a swimming pool for both children and adult. There is cute dog called Tobby .There is a lot of wildlife in the deep forest like moniter lizards ,cheetahs and many types of birds .The weather is lovely and windy.Paragpur offers good food,Fresh fruits are grown in the garden which are very juicy. The building gives a very homely and cultural feel. You will not get bored in Paragpur I can assure you that.

Room Tip: one can choose the first floor for mountain veiw and the big veranda

“Avoid a Monday, if possible”

This was my second visit to Judges Court and I was looking forward to showing my husband the charming village as well as the hotel. Unfortunately, everything was closed as it was a Monday, which was a real disappointment. We stayed in a room in the main house, which was large and comfortable and were well looked after by the charming staff. The food wasn't quite as good as I remembered, the owners were not there this time, and they had none of the delicious local fish on offer, but we still had an enjoyable couple of nights.
Sightseeing in the surrounding area was well worth it and we drove through some charming villages with colourful markets. Judges Court is well worth a visit, if you are in that area.
