I stayed here while visiting family in the area. The owner and manager were very nice and accommodating. They brought us extra towels and anything else we needed right away.

The room was clean and had cable TV, coffee maker, microwave, and a fridge.
My other relatives rooms were the same, and each room had a bit of a different decor.
Also, it was nice having our own Garage-- didnt have to brave the cold to get to our car or warm it up for as long.

Not the biggest room, and its a bit of a drive to get to any sit down chain restaurant, but there is a restaurant next door -- didn't end up eating there though we heard it was good.
Theres a grocery store across the street and a super walmart not to far away.

Quaint is what I'd call the front part....perfect if you just want a relatively cheap place to sleep when you go fishing with the guys. However, the part we were put in, is literally old mobile homes with tar running down the outside, and doors that have to be kicked to open. Ratty couches and construction debris on the front porch, from turning one trailer into our two "rooms", just made it surreal. When checking out early the next morning, because my friend's girlfriend was afraid of the place, the resident manager, would not refund the second nights stay, which had already been paid for.

While I admire someone trying to make it in this country with little knowledge of English, telling me that the reason we didn't get the rooms contracted for, was that her printer was out, and she couldn't access our reservations, and then turning around saying the next morning, that since we reserved for two nights, that there was no refund possible, I find it a bit much.

This place is mostly a rooming house, with much evidence that most of the guests are semi-permanent. She did bring us down some coffeemakers after I called and asked about it. But, at 81 bucks a room per night, I kind of expect a cup of coffee to be included.

All in all, I've certainly spent more than 325 bucks and come out with a less entertaining story to tell. But, for those who are expecting a relatively nice weekend at the lake, perhaps you should keep looking. Needless to say, my friends aren't putting me in charge of getting rooms for our next trip.

Booked my one night stay back in April 07. Quoted rate of $55.00 per night. When I get to property to check in....there is no one there. I ring buzzer and after a while a little Indian lady comes...all this while I am emersed in the pugnant odor of curry.

She puts me in 115 cause "it the best, it have queen bed, it very nice for you" Then proceeds to charge me $65 a night, while I'm looking through the window at the reservation card that has $55.00 for the rate....she refuses and I have to pay $65 or no room.

I take the room and start to settle in. The first thing I notice is that they must have bought all the used bed spreads and curtains and TV's from AmeriSuites cause they were the exact same ones....all nasty and worn, stained and such. I pull that nasty cover off and see that there is no blanket...I pull the sheets back and you guessed it....hairs all on the pillow and sheets...like she just made the bed from the last guest and never bothered washing them.

The carpets were not vacuumed at all. The bath room was clean with tile floor and a very unique shower. Upon studying the shower that had a very low spigot and 12" high front side, I noticed it had a low seat in there. Now why would you have a 12" seat and low spigot in a shower...Oh, then it hits me...for Muslim foot washing...and it was. Very strange for Fremont, OH.

Cob webs and general nasty stuff in the corners and widows. The TV did work fine and the A/C worked satifactory.

Recommend bringing your own sheets , blanket and pillow to insure a clean and sanitary sleep.

Best part of the stay was the fact that Woody's drive-in was right across the street and they make their own home made Root Beer. Very good place and the best car hops in town!
