I was traveling alone from Michigan to Florida this September. After driving in what seemed to be miles and miles of road construction on I-75 in the pouring rain, I decided to find a place to rest for the night. I stopped at several of the hotels in the area like Drury Inn and Fairfield Inn, but their room rates were out of my budget. Both of the referred me to the Days Inn. The Days Inn was really easy to access from the interstate and looked quite inviting from the outside, but it wasn't until I walked into the lobby that I knew I had found the Diamond in the Rough! As soon as I entered the hotel, the smell of fresh coffee brewing in the lobby and the cute decor made me feel at home! The lady that was at the front desk gave me a really good deal on a room and even offered me a fresh cup of coffee that she had just brewed. She was very friendly and explained the easiest way to my room and all of the great free amenities that were available at the hotel. They have a free continental breakfast that goes beyond just 2 cereal choices and toast! They have free Wifi in their rooms, cable television with HBO, and even DVD players in their room! I was even told that they had family friendly DVDs at the front desk that you could rent for a small deposit that is returned upon DVD return. Now this hotel really cares about its guests. The room was larger than some that I have stayed in also. I had a king size bed room, but it also had a couch in the room as well! The bathroom offered all of the usual amenities and had great water pressure in the shower. The bed was super comfy and there were extra pillows already on their beds (there were 5 already there on my king bed). Overall, I can't find one thing to complain about at this hotel. I will keep the Days Inn on my list of hotels to stay at again the next time I'm in the area.
