“Triple T is the Best Bed and Breakfast in Ohio”

My boyfriend and I scuba dive at Gilboa Quarry which is near Findlay. We researched Bed and Breakfast in the area. What a wonderful experience we had staying at the Triple T. The house, room, and grounds are spotless. Pat and Matt, the owners, are kind, efficient, and very interesting. We enjoyed the in ground swimming pool, home made breakfasts, horseback riding, and a night fire pit. I have told all of my friends about the wonderful long weekend we had at the Triple T. We look forward to returning very soon.

“Had a great weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2008

We recently stayed at the Triple T, and had a great time. We rented the guest house, we enjoyed having the place to ourselves, but the owners live nearby if we did need anything.

The setting is really pretty, we traveled there to attend a local horse show. We found the accommodations to be clean, everything was in working order. It was nice to enjoy the animals and scenery. Great value for the space we had, I would recommend to anyone!

“A little bit of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2008

Triple T is located on a rural township road, yet close to shopping. It is a family, fun, clean, enjoyable bed & breakfast…..it is not a 5 star hotel. My husband and I, and our son and his girlfriend shared the guest house vs. staying in the B&B lodge so that we could be near the horse barns and surrounding outdoor wildlife. It was absolutely great to be able to enjoy the country feel, horse back riding, wooded areas & trails, and the barn yard cats that greeted us each morning on the deck. The owners were delightful & very accommodating. Since our return home to Florida, we have shared this experience with all of our friends and would greatly recommend Triple T to anyone visiting the Findlay, Ohio area.

“Great scenic place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2008

I was referred to the Triple T Bed & Breakfast by a family friend who had enjoyed a stay there a few months ago. My husband and I had a wonderful stay! The owners were very friendly and the place was very clean.

I was surprised to read that a previous guest had such a bad experience. My husband and I found that the guest house was very clean and a great deal for the price! We did not have any problems with water pressure or odors in the kitchen.

Our favorite part of our stay was the great country setting. We enjoyed all of the animals they had. They have horses, a pony, donkeys, dogs and cats. All of the animals are very friendly and the animal areas are well maintained. The previous review said that the animals are not taken care of? It appears to us that the animals are very well taken care of, and have plenty of room to run and play. I would definately recommend the Triple T to family and friends who want a weekend away.

“Terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2008

First off, they have only been open since August, 2007 and are not very organized yet.

The surroundings are beautiful and they have many horses and a miniature donkey on site. Buildings consist of the main house in which the owners live and in that main house are two bedrooms where guests can stay.

Down the gravel road is the gueshouse and not far from that is another building with a very small equestrian ring.

The guesthouse used to be lived in by a family. It has 3 small bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs (fully furnished), and small eating area and kitchen on the main floor and a sunken family room and bathroom downstairs. It also has a deck. There is also another big room that I assume was the formal dining room (which is empty) and other huge room that I assume was a living room which they have converted to a games room. The games room can be closed off from the rest of the house. My friend and I stayed in the guesthouse for two nights.

I have a several complaints. The beds were OK but the windows and frames looked like the had not been cleaned in years. The two bathrooms were OK but both showers can't be run at the same time otherwise someone gets a trickle of water while the other one is full stream. In the kitchen, the stove and oven were absolutely filthy and really stunk. On the contrary, the fridge was clean.

So now on with my major beef. On the first morning, my friend and I were having coffee on the deck and around 10:15am the owners walked down from the main house and said that some kids (guests of the main house) wanted to use the games room. I was thoroughly disgusted and considered it an invasion of our privacy. If renting the guesthouse did not include the games room, then their website should state that. I was steaming mad.

Then on the second morning and the day we were to check out, we were starting to pack up about 10:45am, and the wife came knocking on the screen door asking when we were going to vacate. When I asked when check out time was she waivered between 11 and 11:30am. So which was it??? We got out of there as fast as we could.

I know this has nothing to do with accommodation but.....they seem to look after the horses but not so with their cats and dogs. They admit that there are alot of feral cats that come around and they breed like rabbits. They do not practice spay and neuter and while we were there we saw a poor little kitty with an eye infection. They brushed it off as a genetic thing. I have extensive experience with kitties and that was no inheritance. They also have an extremely obese dog that pees and poops all over the place and rather than get him the vet care he needs, the poor dog is outside 24/7.

Enough ranting. I would never stay there again nor would I recommend it.
