Convenient to area businesses and across the street from the Summit Mall. Friendly reception desk. Rooms are nicely furnished.

We have stayed at this Hilton before and were pleased, but our stay this time was outstanding. Hotel grounds and lobby are beautiful. Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. We had booked a queen suite, but were given a 2 king bed suite instead for the same price! Full kitchen, whirlpool bath, flat screens, etc. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked clean and felt warm. Breakfast in the restaurant was great--we ordered from the menu instead of the buffet. Hotel is located across the street from the mall in a very n ice section of town. My only complaint was that I was scrolling through channels in the bath room tv and PORN popped up!! I thought these channels only came up if you payed for them--maybe the people in the suite before us signed up for them! Thank goodness though, my daughter wasn't in there with me cause she would have gotten quite an education!

Returned 10 years after first stay. Bathrooms nicely updated to spa feel. Rooms about the same nice but basic. Food from Beaus is great. Enter via side to get to room..
This area unchanged. Needs cleaned and new carpet and decor. Near indoor pool and smell of chlorine terrible. Makes a bad first impression.
Because rooms are nice quiet and clean this would not keep me from repeat visit.

From the other reviews it looks like some folks liked this place and some did not - I am in the "did not" camp. I arrived late in the evening. The hotel was deserted and there was nobody at the desk. I went to my floor and found that it smelled like a swimming pool - a strong chlorine smell covering the smell of mildew. The room smelt fine - just the hallway smelled bad. I went to use the coke machine - it won't take bills so I had to back down the halls through the smell to go to the desk for quarters. The clerk wasn't there. Then after I got the quarters the coke machine delivered regular coke instead of diet coke. So I went down the smelly hall to the elevator to go to another floor to use a different coke machine - and again regular coke stocked in the diet coke line. So back down the smelly hall to the elevator to go back to the desk - and - no clerk. The clerk eventually went into the restaurant and got some diet coke for me which I appreciated. But what a circus - this was like a Saturday Night Live skit. The hotel itself feels like a place teenagers went to a prom in the 50's - I don't know when it was built but it feels very dated. I don't know if Akron offers a better hotel option - but I would try somewhere else next time.
