“Nice But Overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

My daughter and I stopped here around midnight, due to a severe rain storm. The desk clerk was nice, but never asked if I had AAA or any other discounts. I did not think I had my AAA card with me, so I booked the room. Immediately after that, I found my card, but the clerk pointed to a sign that said " no discounts given after room booked." I realize that it was my mistake, but the room was expensive, just to sleep for a few hours. She said to talk to the clerk in the morning and they could fix it. But the nest morning, I was told that nothing could be done.
The room was nice, clean. And the breakfast was good. I just thought that as travelers stranded late at night, it would have been nice for Days Inn to have at least tried to give us a break.

“A Learning Experience... The Negative Kind”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

Stayed here two nights on a trip with my dad to the D-Day Conneaut event, which I'm assuming is the biggest event in the area during the year. I figured for $150 a night the stay would be rather luxurious with nice crisp white sheets and a large bathroom, a brand new facility. WRONG!!! The facilities were dated, obviously; the bathroom was completely claustrophobic, like you might see on an airplane or in a camper. The wall-board was bubbling out around the baseboards. The towels and sheets were rust-stained and thin, and the A/C was turned off when we entered the room. The food at the restaurant was good, but expensive, and the quality of help was lacking.

Overall, I'm disgusted to have paid $150 a night for this dump and the lesson learned is do your homework when you're going to stay in a tourist-trap. We should have stayed in Cleveland or Erie,PA and drove in to see the reenactment. Heck, we could have drove up lesiurely, seen the reenactment, and went home. Lesson Learned, for sure.

“Twilight Zone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

Arrived on a wed. seemed normal, typical hotel. Very good food in Bombay club prepared by chef Billy. The only 4 hot girls to be found in Conneaut waitress/bartend in the bar restaraunt. Went for some beers and the steelers game one night, not bad besides the heckling from the cute waitress who is a Browns fan (not uncommon for the area), although she did some nice artwork on my leg with a sharpie. Another night, took a walk down to the lobby around 2:30am to find the desk girl and watresses watching soft porn, kinda cool.
Beware though, Saturday nights turn into a nympho-powered, laser lit, dj-spinning dirty song sex-fest comparable to a "twilight zone on ecstacy episode". If we had more time, we would have liked to hang out with the little men in the boat in this quaint little suburb of Ohio. We will definitely be visiting this place again next year.

“Disgusted”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

Let me start off by saying I cannot believe this place is allowed to be open. I wouldnt exactly consider it a "budget hotel" For a price of nearly $100 after tax for 1 night. This place was single handedly the most disgusting, rundown, slum I have ever stayed in. We travel A LOT and can say we will NEVER stay in a Days Inn again after this experience. Upon checkout I notified the desk (which by the way had christmas lights hanging from it, in august) of my concerns and she shrugged her shoulders and said, "they wont give you your money back because you stayed, all I can say is there are lots of other hotels you can stay in next time. I had people last night rave of how nice it was, you cant please everybody." WHAT??? I just left in disgust. We checked in after midnight needless to say werent in the shape with a small child, a dog and having just driven 7 hours in the mood to hotel shop so unfortunately didnt have a choice but to stay but regreted it as we continued to discover everything. The ceilings were so low in the bathroom we kept banging our hands into it and I felt like I was in a camper it was so small, the 1980 wall board/paper had holes that were spakled and left and it was falling off the walls and peeling away from the floor, the grout chipping out on the dirty tile floor, filthy stained plastic tub that I wouldnt bathe my dog in let alone my child, no shampoo, cond. or lotion, had to go take from the cart down the hall (well shampoo anyway, thats all they had). No where to plug in the coffee pot except by balancing between the sink and wall, furiture (table and dresser) were from 1980 and both sticky, towels were tiny, grungy white see through thin, I have rags that are nicer!! There was no iron or ironing board. I saw one in the hall that I went and got to use. The ac was off when we arrived and it was stifiling hot in the room, so I turned it on and could see right in the vent which was covered in dirt, dust and dead bugs. We have stayed in a wide variety of hotels at all price ranges including some much cheaper than this and were 100 times nicer, newer and cleaner. I was not expecting 5 star amenities but do have minimal standards of which this hotel meets none of. Out of 5 stars I dont know if I would even give 1/2 star. This place needs to be gutted and completely updated and prices reduced.

Room Tip: stay away, keep driving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
