Let me start off by saying I cannot believe this place is allowed to be open. I wouldnt exactly consider it a "budget hotel" For a price of nearly $100 after tax for 1 night. This place was single handedly the most disgusting, rundown, slum I have ever stayed in. We travel A LOT and can say we will NEVER stay in a Days Inn again after this experience. Upon checkout I notified the desk (which by the way had christmas lights hanging from it, in august) of my concerns and she shrugged her shoulders and said, "they wont give you your money back because you stayed, all I can say is there are lots of other hotels you can stay in next time. I had people last night rave of how nice it was, you cant please everybody." WHAT??? I just left in disgust. We checked in after midnight needless to say werent in the shape with a small child, a dog and having just driven 7 hours in the mood to hotel shop so unfortunately didnt have a choice but to stay but regreted it as we continued to discover everything. The ceilings were so low in the bathroom we kept banging our hands into it and I felt like I was in a camper it was so small, the 1980 wall board/paper had holes that were spakled and left and it was falling off the walls and peeling away from the floor, the grout chipping out on the dirty tile floor, filthy stained plastic tub that I wouldnt bathe my dog in let alone my child, no shampoo, cond. or lotion, had to go take from the cart down the hall (well shampoo anyway, thats all they had). No where to plug in the coffee pot except by balancing between the sink and wall, furiture (table and dresser) were from 1980 and both sticky, towels were tiny, grungy white see through thin, I have rags that are nicer!! There was no iron or ironing board. I saw one in the hall that I went and got to use. The ac was off when we arrived and it was stifiling hot in the room, so I turned it on and could see right in the vent which was covered in dirt, dust and dead bugs. We have stayed in a wide variety of hotels at all price ranges including some much cheaper than this and were 100 times nicer, newer and cleaner. I was not expecting 5 star amenities but do have minimal standards of which this hotel meets none of. Out of 5 stars I dont know if I would even give 1/2 star. This place needs to be gutted and completely updated and prices reduced.
Room Tip: stay away, keep driving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
