The major drawback of this hotel is the location. It's in a rough part of town, and that makes the parking lot a little unsafe. One of the other people from my company reported his car broken into during our stay with his GPS being stolen. The facility itself appeared to be pretty secure.

My company met at this hotel, which is why I stayed there. The rooms are simple, but not bad. It was clean, and I didn't experience any major unpleasantries. I did notice a lot of noice from the hall carried into my room, but that may have been where my room was located too.

The beds are not extremely comfortable, but I've had worse. The food in the restaurant was actually pretty good, which surprised me. All the staff was curteous and helpful.

The hotel has improved since the earlier reviews. The outside doors are now card locked. The staff was friendly and informative. The area didn't seem that bad, considering there is a Catholic clerical retreat near by. The room was clean and spacious. There was a mini refrigerator and other standard amenities. The TV didn't have many stations but it had CNN and Weather and the broadcast networks; who really needs more? I didn't use the continental breakfast, so can't comment on quality.

It was inexpensive and nice enough for my needs.

Oh, and the bed was really comfortable.

There was hair all over the bathroom floor. In addition, it didn't look like the corners of anything had been cleaned in years. There was a spider's web (complete with spider) in the corner by one of the beds. We got in late and looked all over the room for some sort of informational pamphlet or book about the hotel and where we could eat. Nothing. The price was quite reasonable...but we got what we paid for.

Based on my reviews above, I was very displeased with the amenities of the room in which there weren't any. I was forced to stay at this location because my travel agent didn't have anything at the Hampton Inn (my most preferred hotel). There aren't any microwave ovens, mini-refrigerators, cable TV has only 5 channels, and carpeting was old and dingy. And when I attempted to address my wireless internet concerns with the concierge, they were as clueless as a rock on a curb. The lack of high speed internet was my most annoyance of the hotel. With limited TV and barely any Internet the entertainment of the hotel was not existent. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
