So the day I was released from the hospital after having my newborn son (3 days old) I had to stay here with my mother daughter and father. My house was being renovated and I was not going to have my newborn breathing in paint fumes and drywall dust and any molds that were coming out of the walls.
My mother was coming up from GA, with my father soon to follow and we picked here because it was close to the hospital but far enough away that my mom wouldn't get turned around in all the traffic in a city she didn't know.
Now, when you think of Baymont you think of something halfway decent at least I always have.
This place was rather dingy.
It was dark, smelled musty, the rooms were TINY!! Like literally I could not fit through the door with my suitcase, and myself at the same time, my daughter even was like wow this is small mama and she's a very tiny girl.
The room itself had a funny smell.
The bathroom was clean, and the room was clean enough minus the smell.
The housekeeping was nice, but the deskstaff seemed just like they didn't care and whatever.
Honestly the location though it seems like it's in a decent enough neighborhood until night, all the weirdos would come out.
Not to mention the hotel staff does nothing about the noise level of guests entering or leaving later on in the evening.
We were finally getting some sleep around 2am no sooner did my newborn and myself fall asleep (and I was having health issues my dad had just drove up on his motorcycle 10 hours and not to mention I JUST HAD A BABY!!) This group of teens/young adults comes in the hallways loud as could be slamming doors, then it's quiet then it's loud they were partying in the hallways. I stepped out and said shut up or you're going to find me one pissed off mom who just gave birth. They all apologized when they realized I wasn't joking because they had woken my son and my daughter up.
The soda machines that were outside our room weren't stocked not once the week we were there, the ice machine sorta failed once or twice but we were able to get enough ice to keep the baby bottles on ice when needed and my ice packs cold.
All in all, it's not worth it imo, pay a few bucks more for the holiday inn down the road.
Oh and it said it had an indoor pool/spa thing and well, it did, it was just empty and filled with refridgerators and junk.
