We had one of those experiences where you start to laugh at the number of things that can be wrong with one hotel room. Rodeway Inns, of course, are budget properties and no frills, so I do not expect lots of amenities. We do, however, expect towels and a remote control. When I tried to call down to the desk to ask for towels, I discovered the phone did not work. The man at the desk brought a pile (not folded) of towels and said he'd go look for a remote, but he didn't seem particularly concerned. What do you expect, though, when your assigned room has offensive graffiti (questioning someone's sexual history) on the door. The shower curtain was quite moldy, by the way. I would not recommend this place.

This place is an absolute dump. I arrived at approximately 6:15 p.m and was out of there by 6:35 p.m. the same evening!! Upon arriving I waited for 3-5 minutes for somebody to even show up at the front desk. Checked in....the young girl behind the counter didn't know how to do tax exempt....she called her manager to find out how to do the proper check in with tax exempt....while I waited she checked me into a room. I took all of my contents to the room but immediately became sick from the smell of the hallway and room. While I was checking the bed for bed bugs I found the linens to be covered with hairs, the mattress was mildewy black looking, the comforter was full of cigarette burn holes, etc. The room was cold so I started the heater and it blew out dirt due to not having a cover on the blower part of the heater. I hauled all of my contents back to the front desk and told the young woman that I couldn't stay due to the place physically making me ill from the smell and filth. She had already charged my debit card without even touching my card....due to the fact that I had made my reservation online. Once she realized that I would not be staying for the night she called her manager and credited my account for the room rate.....mind you my rate charged was more than what the sign hanging on the outside of the building was. Upon leaving the hotel I settled into another hotel near by. Once settled in I proceeded to check my account to make sure that the money had been credited back into my account.....well within hours there were other charges made on my debit card that I had not made. This young woman had all of my personal information and made a purchase for a "Magic Bullet" blender by using my name, phone number, home address, and debit card but had the product shipped to a local P.O. Box in the area. I immediately cancelled my debit card as well as filed a fraud claim!! I have never felt so filthy and violated in all of my life. I have spent the past few days trying to clean up this mess by dealing with my bank, the "magic Bullet" place, my credit (due to magic bullet expecting the 2 additional charges of the three for the product), and the police. The 15- 20 minutes that I stood inside the lobby at this hotel just to get checked in and back out there was so much riff-raff walking through the door. I wouldn't even take my pet to this hotel!! This place is bad news!! DO NOT stay at this hotel....you will be sorry!!

Horrible, from start to finish. I stayed for two days and had three rooms. First room, broken toilet and infestation of ants in the bathroom. I get moved to another room across the hall (at 8:00 PM) and find bed bugs in room #2. I requested another room (and saw that they already put someone back in my original room with the busted toilet and ants). I checked out room #3 but left as soon as I could in the morning. The bathtub was filthy and the towels are thin and stained.

A freind and I decided to take a trip to Columbus this past weekend for the Arnold Sports Classic. My cheap friend did not want to spend a few extra bucks for a solid room, so we ended up at this place. Upon entering our room, I went to use the bathroom, and discovered that our toilet had been "upper deckered". Basically the water was merky brown, and the room smelled...I then discovered a previous person had opened the tank of the toilet and defecated in said tank. Also, the filth club next door was teeming with unsavory characters late in the evening, and some had spilled over into the nerby waffle house and hotel parking lots...what a disaster wknd.
