Had the misfortune of attempting to stay at this place for a week with my family. I have never written a review on a hotel but I feel I need to write this to save someone some peace of mind, sanity and hard earned money. First from the outside, this in a bad neighborhood and cars get broken into all the time here. And strange people are commonly roaming the parking lot and inside the building. Checked in on a Friday and everything seemed ok, except for a strong odor of cigarette and marijuana smoke and NO ELEVATOR. Saturday was ok, Sunday was the Superbowl so about 30 people decided to meet in a room across the hall and have a Superbowl party. I can understand that, i didn't even say anything until around 1230am, I called twice and asked if they could quiet down. They still continued this until around 330am, with around 10 kids running up and down the hallways, playing soccer and trashing the hallways. The front desk didn't seem to care and just let them party throughout the morning. We had to be up early Monday morning so finally asked to move rooms around 1am. The new room smelled like marijuana but was a little quieter. Talked to the sales manager in the morning and she was understanding and apologized and comp'd us breakfast (which I would would have been very upset if I'd pay for it), but I appreciate her concern. Monday night we return to our new room to a pile of food, garbage and a coffee cup outside our door and used towels spread on the floor and an odor of feet in the hallway. At this point with all of the strange things going on I had enough and called the front desk to remove the garbage. The front desk clerk pick the garbage up and placed it in front of a breaker room door a few doors down from ours and went back downstairs. about an hour later, just when I thought things couldn't get any weirder, I hear coughing and grunting outside my door, being at the end corner room that's mostly quiet, I checked my peephole, and to my surprise was a homeless man masturbating into the corner. I immediately called the front desk about this, and after another sleepless night, opened my door to yet another coffee cup on the floor (very strange), went down to check on my car around 1230am and was curious about what happened, apparently this happens all the time because the clerk nonchalantly says "oh ya, I kicked him out", that is the only response I got. By the way on top of all the creepy happenings the beds are extremely uncomfortable and wrapped in plastic, the pool and hot tub are constantly overrun by trashy people and kids that are not even staying at the hotel nor have a membership to the athletic center. Also fitness equipment is run down and most in not good working order. Hot tub had so many chemicals in it that my eyes and nose were burning just from putting my feet in.The room we moved only had one bed and a couch so we took it and figured my mom and son could just sleep on the pull out bed, but the couch was in such poor condition it was unsafe to sleep on, the mattress was hard and uncomfortable and the springs that hold it together were missing or popped off, so she just slept on the couch cushions. Walls and doors are thin, the first few nights, I had to listen to a crying baby for most of the night and mornings 5 doors down. After the masturbation incident I decided I had enough and called the company I booked through and they were completely understanding and issued me a refund for the days remaining and I am checking out 3 days early. This place is definitely not safe for families to stay in. On the upside the wifi is good and pretty fast and free and the towels are soft. Other than that, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
