Stayed for three nights. Hotel is located across the street from Ohio State Fairgrounds, and about a half-mile from the Ohio State Historical Society/State Archives so it's well located for genealogists and other researchers (though be sure to check the Archives website for their hours; they're only open three days a week!) Street is quiet with little traffic, just two turns away from Exit 111 of Interstate 71 southbound.
Hotel is clean, our room bright and cheerful. In addition to bed area, the room had a small seating area with a sofabed and small worktable for two. Free high-speed wired (Ethernet) access. (If you don't have a cable, the front desk will provide one for free.) Large, clean bathroom. Good selection of television channels.
Pleasant and helpful front desk staff. The lobby is nicely decorated and offers several sofas and chairs where one can meet friends. During breakfast, some of this furniture receives the overflow from the adjacent breakfast area which seats about 20. There's also a smaller balcony-like 2nd floor lobby with a large-screen television, sofa and chairs, also fine for meeting guests.
A free "deluxe continental breakfast" is offered in the lobby from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. (times strictly observed!) Offerings include coffee, milk, juices, cereals, fruit, pastries and several hot items: Artificial or powdered egg patties (thumbs down), sausage patties and make-your-own waffles. All you can (or want to) eat, adequate and edible, not haute cuisine, but it's free and it's handy.
As others have noted, there's only a McDonalds within walking distance of this hotel. The staff suggested travelling north on I-71 about five miles to Exit 117, which has several national chain restaurants. Subsequently we found even more options further north at Exit 121, Polaris, including a huge number of restaurants embedded in one of the most extensive chains of shopping malls we've ever seen. It's worth the ten-mile jaunt if McDonalds is not your thing. Alternatively, the front desk can direct you to the Ohio State University area (about a five-mile drive to the west) which has many restaurants and shops.
Our only question concerned room rates, which inexplicably changed from $76.45 (+ taxes) on Wednesday and Thursday to $98.95 + taxes on Friday. We asked the clerk who said the rate changes to a "weekend rate" on Thursday at midnight, but most hotels have a LOWER rate on weekends, not a higher one. Also, watch for the $1 per night charge for the room safe. We found our safe locked (by the previous occupant) upon arrival, had no use of the safe, and had the charge willingly removed from our bill by the front desk staff upon checkout. Don't know whether they will waive the charge if you don't use your safe from the start.
Generally a very pleasant experience.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. Very clean, comfortable beds, good location. A good choice when attending anything at the Ohio State Fairgrounds or the Country Living Fair. Just a block off of I-71. Good breakfast. The only problem, but not the hotels fault, is there are no restaurants within 15 minutes of hotel, except Mc Donald's. We have stayed in 100s of motels and hotels and this was one of the best. We would definitely stay there again.

Microwave did not work. Fellow travelers' room smelled awful like cat pee. Forgot my pillow and called hotel; told them i'd like pillowcase only back, as it matched sheet set. Asked them to throw away pillow and I would gladly pay to have pillowcase only returned to me. Foreigner (which all that worked there were) was to check w/housekeeping and call me back. After two days of not getting called back i called them. He told me it was not there: which i know for a fact it was left in my room. They either used it or threw away??? I'd sleep in my car before i'd stay there again!!

Its been great stay. the rooms are nice and staff was very helpful.
