“happy, but supressed suspicions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

we arrived to the hotel wondering where the main entrance was. it looked like a side entrance. the industrial park sign seemed to imply you would find all these businesses there- they must have been down the road. upon entry, you find yourself in an ante-room, one where there is bullet-proof glass through which you can address the staff. hmm, I said, what kind of hotels have these? usually ones I don't want to stay at. so i was on the alert. we got to the room, it was cleaned to within an inch of its life, it seemed- a somewhat strong odor of cleaning materials. maybe they had vacuumed the carpets? took 15 min to get the smell cleared out with air conditioning (which worked extremely well). I kept checking my car, as I was "suspicious". but the night passed well, car was fine. beds were comfortable, all outlets worked..(seems to crop up frequently that they don't, and we can't recharge our cells). only oddity was the entry light which had no cover so was over-bright, so we turned it off. Breakfast was satisfactory: waffles, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, donuts, small bagels. pretty much all i needed. never figured how the syrup dispensor was supposed to work. the attendant filled it, then tried to wipe it off and handed it to me with syrup everywhere. eww. had to use it, run and wash hands then come back to eat. I don't think the food area was serviced much. if they ran out, they were out. all in all, we were very comfortable, and all went well. Aside from my suspicions, and some very minor things, it was a nice quiet stay.

“Vehicle got broken into. Would not stay here again!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2011

The room itself was pretty good. It was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable but my vehicle got broken into during my stay and my SUV was trashed inside and stuff stolen. The same person also hit the hotels drink machine INSIDE the building down the hall from the front desk. My question to the staff was where the hell was your night shift guy?? Was he sleeping? How did the staff person not hear my window getting busted out and the drink machine getting busted into. I was parked close to the front doors. I was not offered a refund or anything for my trouble. They did clean most of the glass out of my seat and put plastic over my window, that blew off the second I got on the interstate to go home. It cost me $200 to replace the window. This is apparently a really bad part of town. The police officer that came out said they get a lot of calls for there. According to the policeman this place is known for having unsavory characters come and rent rooms to do all kinds of things. He said he would not stay here. Needless to say I am not happy with the place and I will NEVER stay here again!! The parking lot is not well lit at all and really creepy if you are coming in late. The neighborhood is like an industrial area and there is just not a lot of people around. I wish I had stayed somewhere else!!

“Good hotel for the value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2011

This hotel was a nice hotel, but there wasn't an attendant for the breakfast like we had at some of our other hotels. Also, the mattresses were not very comfortable and the covers were so thin and flimsy that they didn't provide much warmth. One of the "comforters" in our room had a hole in it. I also noticed a hole in a wall when I was walking down the hall. The breakfast was nice with plenty of seating and the rooms were nice with very nice bathrooms. The bathroom was so clean that it looked like no one had ever used it! This was the only bathroom on our trip that had an actual locking door for the bathroom. There were definitely pros and cons for this hotel, but overall it was a good place to stay as a resting point along a long journey.

“what a dump”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2011

We were looking for an affordable motel for the two of us and our small dog. We took a chance and booked it through the parent company. Arrived to an industrial park, dark, creepy looking parking lot with an unwelcoming "lobby". Our room had a broken floor lamp propped in the corner trying to look appealing- fell into pieces including the burned lamp shade when touched. Room was "non-smoking" but the entire building including our room smelled of smoke. Floors didn't look like they had been vacuumed but maybe weekly? Bathroom looked okay, but I left asap in morning, being pretty creeped out. Got an un-requested wakeup call in the morning. Furniture was threadbare. The room did have a tv, We had a bad nickname picked out for the place within an hour- I'll spare you. The dog slept fine and the price was low. Breakfast provided (Waffles, cereal, etc) -skipped that, too.

“not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2010

I was a little worried about this place when I booked it, because it was so cheap. We were pleasantly surprised. This is a nice place. Very clean. I know others complained about the breakfast, but for the price, what do you expect? They had a do it yourself wafflemaker and everything was replenished quickly. The only complaint I have would be the smoking room beneath our non smoking room. The people below us must've been chain smokers because it was REALLY strong in our room. I would suggest moving the smoking rooms to one end of the building. All in all, not bad tho.
