I can't think of anything good about this motel.

The front desk service was lousy. We seemed to be in there for hours with a lineup of other people at check-in.

The internet was ok (for a fee) but were told that it did not work in all of the rooms by other guests.

The beds were shot - the springs were gone on my bed!

There was no TV remote when we got to the room so we had to go get one from the front desk! This was expected because maybe people had been stealing them?!

The area was THE WORST. There were a few other seedy motels nearby and empty parking lots. The main attraction it seemed was a minature golf park that turned on music that was blaring in the AM. The questionable area led to cars coming in and out of the parking lot and cars that looked like they had been parked there for a while.

I guess after all of this the only plus would be that they allow pets. I saw a cat in a window which I thought was cute.

I am usually ok with M6 properties, but this one is rundown and in a dead area of town. I stayed here a few years ago when the stores were open and it was good. But now, I'd go on down the road.

I had never been to Columbus before so I chose the property because it was mid point between Columbus and Lancaster, where I had business. I completely get that the 6 is pretty basic, but it has always been stable. Not this time.

The neighboorhood is dicey -- lots of payday loan places and liquor stores nearby. A drugstore was robbed by knifepoint during our stay there. The lobby has the attendant shielded by thick glass -- now I know why.

As for the room, there were big stains on the trampled-down carpet. The sink and toilet were actually grimey. I wasn't comfortable putting my suitcase down on the floor, instead chose to use the meager hanger rack tucked into a back corner. The towels were replaced daily, but the bed was never made during our 3-day stay. Housekeeping was very slow, and one day it was nearly 4pm before they made their way by the room (we were getting dressed for dinner). Finally, our key card de-activated each afternoon and we were told it was our fault. What a pain.

If I were exhausted and this were available I'd stay there for one night, keep my luggage locked in the car, and head out early the next day.
