As a grizzled road warrior used to other chains, I was a bit surprised when this was booked for me. What a pleasant surprise - friendly, efficient staff (obviously proud to represent the hotel), LARGE clean suites, nice simple breakfast, and daytime shuttle to area businesses.
One touch that puts a smile on my face are the thick natural wood floors in the elevators...reminds me of the Best Westerns in the National Park areas.
This hotel is in a suburban strip area with restaurants a few steps from the hotel. I will not hesitate to stay here yet again on a return visit.

We stayed at the Best Western Franklin Park Suites - Polaris and had a very relaxing visit. The front desk staff was very helpful when they could be. The suites were enormous and plentiful for our 4-person family. It was nice to be able to put the kids in the hide-a-bed and close the door between us at night.

We walked to a Starbucks for coffee every morning as well as walked to dinner and lunch at restaurants next to the hotel so that was convenient and nice to have nearby. The fitness center was left behind in the 90's (at best), but judging by 60% of Americans being overweight or obese, I'm guessing that we're the only ones complaining about the lack of updated equipment. As a result, the swimming pool and hot tub were very nice to have as an alternative.

The worst part of the stay was the lack of WiFi internet access. A youth athletic team stayed there just before us, "hacked" into the server and changed the passwords. It took the staff nearly 2 days to find the servers (new ownership and management didn't know there was one located on each floor) and reset them. This was very frustrating for us as my husband needed to work while we were staying there. Free internet access was one of the main reasons why I chose this hotel. It was frustrating to not have it for most of our stay.

Other than that, it was a very nice place (albeit a little dated) which is why I rated on the overall experience not just the one problem we had with the internet or the fitness center.

We stayed one night at the beginning if August. We were greeted by an enthusiastic desk clerk whom quickly checked us in. The evening was especially hot and our room was ready and cool. Large separate area allowed our son to camp out in his own studio couch bedroom. The room was as quiet as you would expect of a hotel with hunreds of people in it. There was no noise in hallways, but from time to time you could hear water running somewhere else.

Fitness center provided a few machines to hget the blood flowing in the morning. We didn't use pool, but water looked cloudy and uninviting. Free breaksfast was fine with the standard fare of hot & cold. Items were well stocked and fresh. There are some mentions of cleanliness in prior reviews. Only problem I saw was the whole place could use a good vac along the walls and in corners.

There are about a dozen beige colored hotels on this exit that all looks about same. I would guess anyone of them would provide a good nights sleep & service.

The room was huge and very nice...there was hair in the jacuzzi tub and dead rose petals on the floor, clearly the room was not vaccumed throughly.... The carpet when you walked into the room was soaked, the room was right by the ice machine and that carpet was wet too. I did let them know about it that night, after we came back from our date. Being that I work in the hospitality industry I always carry lysol and clorox wipes with us when we travel so I cleaned the tub and sanitized it before we used it....On a brighter note, the bar in the lobby was nice and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was ok...the staff we talked to and seen was very nice and helpful! Great place to stay and in a great location on the north side of Columbus, I would suggest to them to be a little more consious about their cleaning and maybe have head of housekeeping check the rooms a little better.
