I needed an inexpensive place to stay when my dad was transferred from our hometown hospital to one of the OSUMC hospitals. When I pulled in to the parking lot, I got a sick feeling in my stomach and almost left. I decided I was exhausted and just wanted to get to my father, so I checked in. I reserved a nonsmoking room and confirmed this at check in, however, the room smelled as though it had been smoked in on many occasions. There is mold in the bathtub. The sink and lighting fixtures are disgusting. One of my lamps does not work. The bed is huge, but incredibly uncomfortable. I tried to call the front desk, but got a busy signal every time I tried for about 30 minutes. Upon checking in I heard the staff discussing occupants who seem to be here on a long-term basis, which I think gives a clear indication of the clientele this place attracts. I stuck it out because I couldnt afford to check in somewhere else and didn't feel like wasting time I need to spend with my sick father arguing with the management about a refund. Bottom line, spend an extra 20 and get peace of mind and a clean room.
