I used this hotel as a cheap stop off when travelling with a friend from Cleveland to Louisville by road to see the Breeders Cup races. We arrived about 8.30 in the evening and left at 8.30 the following morning.
Everything about the place seemed a bit tired, not dirty or tatty, just tired and a bit drab.
Room was OK but not cosy. Bathroom worked but looked due for refurbishment. The complimentary breakfast was very limited, juice, coffee, muffins and very ordinary bagels.
Very glad we weren't staying any longer.

New management has taken over and is making improvements to the property. It has some problems that still need addressing but the staff were very accomodating and friendly. They even upgraded our room to make our stay more pleasurable.
I would stay here again.

This hotel is being milked and needs reneovated. The rooms and general area need cleaned and updated. The bed needed a new mattress. The bed linens were soiled and torn. The wall paper was falling down. Our room had not been cleaned (there was oil on the headboard from the prior occupant's head. The carpet was patched with duct tape. No matter the rate - it would not be worth the price. Internet was not working.

Aging Microtel location that is definitely showing it's age.

Positives:
1.) Plenty of free parking.
2.) Right next to a convenience store.

Negatives:
1.) Brown stains on the bedsheet and washcloths. Although it appeared they had been laundered, it's way past time to replace them with new ones.
2.) There was only one bathtowel in the room when we arrived and no bathsoap.
3.) When we checked in, a sign on the juice machine read "No Orange Juice." I asked if they would have some by morning and the front desk guy said, "Only if our truck comes." As expected, the sign was still the re in the morning, so over to the convenience store I went.
4.) As far as breakfast items were concerned, at 7:45am on a Saturday, aside from waffles and the standard selection of cereals, there were three bagels, 3 apples and a lemon to choose from.
5.) There were two canisters of coffee made. Since they weren't marked, I asked the morning front desk clerk which was regular and which was decaf. She said, "I think the one on the left is regular, but I'm not sure because I wasn't here when they made it." In need of some caffeine, I took a cup of each to be sure.
