At first glance from the outside, this hotel looked acceptable....although there was a lot of trash scattered in the parking lot. The gentleman that checked us in seemed like we were inconviencing him. The rooms were so-so. There was a lot of "riff-raff" hanging around the side doors of the building. When we went out a side door in the morning an individual let in a good 10 people ( young adults/teen).....not sure what that was about, but I'm sure a free breakfast was had by all. I did not feel safe in this hotel at all and would highly recommend staying somewhere else.....a few miles north would be a smart choice!!!

This property is showing its age but was fine for us and we tend to like nice hotels. The room was clean, bathroom was clean, lobby was clean. The place looks like it was once a premium hotel but the area has changed. We did not use the pool or fitness center. The business center was fine with two computers that worked. To get to the complimentary breakfast you do need to walk through a deserted restaurant/bar area but not a big deal. We did not find it scary or uncomfortable at all. Breakfast was cereal, milk, juice, waffles, danish, fruit, yogert, etc. it was great. With the AAA rate the price was $80, which to us was reasonable. Fine hotel for the price.

The toilet paper roll was held on by ball point pen and the bathroom door lock was installed backward in our room. The whole hotel was showing its age and maintenance was a little shaky. Breakfast was o.k. Price for room was a little high for the location and conditions in my opinion. I would look for other accommodations if I were to return.

Really, I did not like this place at all. It was creepy. The other guests were even creepy. The only thing normal about this place was the two women working at the desk and I was concerned for their safety. The entire building is very outdated and in grave need of repairs. The typical choice hotel hot breakfast was offered in the morning and it was good, however, the meandering, twisting hallways (with arrow signs pinned on walls like paint marks on a hiking trail) that eventually led to the breakfast room left "Hotel California" playing in my head. The room was so-so. I learned, after staying here, to ALWAYS, ALWAYS read reviews before you book because, in this case, I did not and could've saved myself a sleepless night.
