When we arrived at the Clarion Hotel & Suites, the front lobby seemed clean and presentable. However, I did notice a musty cigarette type of smell. I checked in and continued to my assigned room. The hallways were very messy & dirty with papers and other miscellaneous things on the floor. We passed the swimming pool which was closed- and was the MAIN reason for our stay at the hotel. We had our two girls and infant son with us, and decided at that time we needed to switch to another hotel that had a swimming pool that was in order. (It was our oldest child's birthday). My husband went back to the front desk to inform them that the main reason for our stay was for the swimming pool and asked if we could get a refund and switch hotels. The guy (Marvin, I believe) said, "No problem." Two weeks later, we STILL have not received a refund, and Marvin claims that we stayed in that room that night!! I am apalled- and I even faxed a receipt to him showing our purchase of another hotel that very night.
I HIGHLY recommend that you look elsewhere for a hotel. The Crowne Plaza is just down the street- and is MUCH MUCH nicer. The staff is super friendly, and we paid the SAME price for a BETTER hotel.
