We stayed here one night on our way back from Cincinnati. We drove from VA to Ohio and need a clean, comfortable place to stay. I used my Marriott points to book. Upon arrival we were greated by Monica. She was very friendly and helpful. We mentioned wanting to go to the movies and when my husband called downstairs, Monica had already printed showtimes and directions to the nearest theater. I was a little worried about the room when we entered the elevator and got the smell of a gym/swimming pool. When we entered our room it was spacious and for the most part clean (there were a few hairs in the shower). It was comfortable and accomodating for our purpose. We were exhausted after our drive. The pillows were not the best, but would we stay again if need be, yes.

What a great place!

Needing a hotel by the airport for a trip in April and being very impressed by the staff and the room, I stayed there twice in May and have one more visit coming up.

On every visit, the staff has been incredibly helpful and accommodating. The room has always been clean and comfortable. On my last trip, I used the kitchenette to prepare food for my son's after-recital reception at OSU. If I can bake and frost dozens of cupcakes, make dozens of little cheesecakes, and coolers full of other food, any individual or family should be able to meet their own needs for meals if they'd rather not eat out.

A super- supermarket and cheap gasoline are nearby — but you will need a car to get around.

While I've stayed closer to the university in the past, the Towneplace Suites is a much thriftier option.

The beds were amazing, really. It was also really pretty quiet in our room considering that we were near the interstate AND the airport. I traveled with my mother (sleep apnea) and my daughter (up all night). We got a two-bedroom suite. Rooms were a good size, it had a kitchen (just okay appliances), a sofa bed -- maybe big enough for one 8-year old but the bedrooms were the best. Nice big mattresses, large closets, full-sized dressers and good-quality bedding. The lobby was small; breakfast was offered (granola bars and apples), but no place to sit. The pool was outdoors and in a tiny gated area, so we didn't try it. The plusses were that there is an outstanding Krogers down the road so you can pick up hot food and eat in your room and you are really close to all in the Columbus area as long as you bring your wheels.

We needed temporary living quarters for 1 night while the bathroom in our home was being renovated.

Since we have a 2-year-old daughter, we liked the idea of staying in a 2-bedroom suite with a full kitchen. That way, she would have her own room to sleep in, my wife and I would have our own room, and we would be able to store food and prepare light meals and snacks easily.

This property highly met our expectations:

-suite had a full kitchen (including dishwasher) with plenty of dishes/utensils
-both bedrooms were spacious with a closet and dresser in addition to a queen bed
-living area had a dining table, coffee table, sleep sofa, several reading lamps, and a TV (with a second TV in the larger bedroom)
-bathroom had plenty of storage space under sink

Hotel staff were very responsive to requests I listed on-line when making my reservation. Extra (non-feather) pillows were on the beds, and extra towels were in the bathroom so our little one could get her nightly bath before bed.

There is no restaurant at this hotel. However, coffee, danish, yogurt, and other items are available in the lobby in the morning.

An outdoor pool and barbeque grills are available. We were also given privileges to swim at the indoor pool in the Spring Hill Suites property right next door.

If you need a spacious, economical place to stay for 1 night or 1 month, you would be hard pressed to find a better place than this hotel on the east side of Columbus!
