We have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past few years and liked it for its comfort and relatively convenient location. But, .every time we stay, we find the quality has declined a bit more. One positive feature is the proximity to grocery shopping (within walking distance of a great grocery store). However, once back at the hotel, one must contend with problems of actually cooking one's food (kitchen equipment incomplete and handles falling off the stove, oven not working)! The room itself was quite clean (an important factor in my assessment of the place), but the scuffed walls, someone's hair on the shower curtain, and poor selection of breakfast items including no butter available made this our last time at this TownePlace Suites.

Fitted sheets did not fit bed and for 2 nights my husband and I had to fix them in the middle of the night. I slept on my right side and upper arm and knee area touched mattress. I developed severe itching and a localized rash in the two areas exposed to the mattress. I want to to warn others about what happened to me because I know that there are dangerous chemicals in mattresses. I am on a prescription skin medication at the moment to treat this rash.

We stayed here one night on our way back from Cincinnati. We drove from VA to Ohio and need a clean, comfortable place to stay. I used my Marriott points to book. Upon arrival we were greated by Monica. She was very friendly and helpful. We mentioned wanting to go to the movies and when my husband called downstairs, Monica had already printed showtimes and directions to the nearest theater. I was a little worried about the room when we entered the elevator and got the smell of a gym/swimming pool. When we entered our room it was spacious and for the most part clean (there were a few hairs in the shower). It was comfortable and accomodating for our purpose. We were exhausted after our drive. The pillows were not the best, but would we stay again if need be, yes.

What a great place!

Needing a hotel by the airport for a trip in April and being very impressed by the staff and the room, I stayed there twice in May and have one more visit coming up.

On every visit, the staff has been incredibly helpful and accommodating. The room has always been clean and comfortable. On my last trip, I used the kitchenette to prepare food for my son's after-recital reception at OSU. If I can bake and frost dozens of cupcakes, make dozens of little cheesecakes, and coolers full of other food, any individual or family should be able to meet their own needs for meals if they'd rather not eat out.

A super- supermarket and cheap gasoline are nearby — but you will need a car to get around.

While I've stayed closer to the university in the past, the Towneplace Suites is a much thriftier option.
