Despite a slight remodeling, this Marriott is still worn out. It is one of the old Marriott footprints with the smaller rooms and the narrow doors in the bathroom and slightly over 12 inches between the foot of the bed and the desk chair (you cannot roll your luggage through - therefore it is even narrower than an airplane aisle).
Room service food quality is very poor; service slow; the restaurant, while looking brightly remodeled, still serves poor quality food and the service there is poor also.
The front desk staff do not know their rooms and they fail to honor specific room requests, even for platinum members.
Worse of all, I checked in very late and got a first floor -- again, the old footprint was built on concrete. The bathroom floor has a drain and the drain smelled of sewer gas because it did not have any water in the backup. But way too late to get another room.
I will choose either the hotel at the airport next time or one of the other chains near there. This Marriott was in style when Eastern Airlines flew into Cleveland.
