My first room had a tree growing into the wall just outside. The wind would bang it into the window which competed with the very noise heater. The room also had a mildew smell. Night two was cleaner and no tree outside, but the aging wall heater kept waking me up every hour so I checked out early. The breakfast was very meager, dry eggs, with a sad selection of fruit and terrible coffee, and broken toasters. They seemed to go out of there way to irritate me. Also, there is just one ice machine located on the second floor.

I really had a good stay although it is an average sort of hotel, what I call a business hotel, but it is great when everything works well, and everything was good. Nice bathtub, coffee, breakfast waffles, friendly staff, and so on. Low rates possible online. Two bonus surprises: it is nicely located to many things, away from Cleveland but easy to slide into downtown and convenient to other locations as well; and, the business park north was a pretty and safe place to go jogging in the autumn leaves. I would consider staying again for many practical reasons, although it isn't a place to take the family for vacation!

I booked through the choice hotels website. On the site it says "Arrangements for non-smoking rooms can be made in advance or upon check-in" <-taken directly from site! This is a SMOKE FREE hotel WTF? thanks a lot choice site. On the other hand they do now offer a continental breakfast which was listed as a cold breakfast on the site and they also have a business center which was not listed on the site. You also have to pay EXTRA if you want a fridge or microwave. Now I can do without the fridge and I can deal with the cold breakfast but what I hate is having to go outside and stand in this horrible weather to have a smoke. This is what peeved me off most. The counter lady was also rude about it when I mentioned it because I asked for a smoking room and she said this is a smoke free hotel. I mentioned how that was not listed on the site and her response? "yup it's on there" In a smart tone. I will NOT be staying here again. The sink is cracked. nice view of the pool that is falling apart though. Yup well poor job Clarion.

This place is in need of a major renovation. Old and smelly would describe it best. The staff was great which made the stay easier.
