Checked into the hotel at 2:00am. Was given a room on the 17th floor. View was great, but, the building is old and worn. The windows are not sealed or sound proof. You hear every noise outside. Almost like sleeping with the window open.
As for the room, it was nice, clean. Housekeeping did a good job each morning. Most of the staff was more than accommodating.
Watch the front desk staff. I parked a car in the garage overnight only for one night. Ask the girl at the desk how do I pay for parking. She keyed my room key and said it would be on the bill. Unknown to me, she also checked me out of the hotel when I had one more night to go. Her excuse was I was only in the computer for two nights instead of three. I immediately produced my paperwork clearly stating three nights. I guess she was a bit confused.
The restaurant buffet for breakfast was fair. Eggs were made to order but the bacon, sausage and potatoes were all swimming in grease.
One the plus side, the hotel is close to Amtrak and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Other than that, downtown Cleveland does not have too much, at least not around this hotel.
