I reserved a room with this bed and breakfast for my parents for two nights back in Dec 2004. At the time, the room was advertised at $150/night. I was charged $394.50 total and mailed a check, which WAS cashed. I noticed the discrepany after mailing the check, but assumed a refund would come in the mail. It did not. When my parents arrived to stay in the b&b, the reservation was not even on the books so they were put in a smaller room which was listed at $95/night. I, and my parents, understand that mistakes happen, so rather than cause a problem, they took the room and made the best of it, knowing they were supposed to be in the suite. After the stay, I contacted the owner and requested a refund for the difference between the suite and the room my parents were given. I was told a check would be in the mail in a few days. The check never came. After the initial phone call requesting a refund, I made additional calls to check the status of the check and was continuously told the owner was out of the country. Each time the staff was extremely rude. This went on for several months. It is now Dec 2011 and Marigold Bed and Breakfast still owes me a refund of $193.10.
I definitely do not recommend spending your money at this Bed & Breakfast with so many others to choose from.
