“Quaint and Comfortable.”

We stayed at the Marigold over night and it was nice. Beverly is very sweet and Judy is super nice. The room was comfortable with a private bath. You have to remember it is a B&B so yes, a lot of things are "old and quaint," but that is part of the overall experience. We met a nice couple from North Royalton, as well. Breakfast was excellent and plenty for us. I drink hot tea and loved having it served in a china teapot. We have never been to a B&B before so as a first, this was exactly what we expected. There is a TV in the "living" area only so don't expect one in your room. My only negative comment would be that it was very cold in our room. We left the bathroom door open because there was a floor register in there and then our room got toasty.

“Charming”

This was our first B & B. It was what we hoped for and more. The details were so charming and Beverly and Mike were so nice. The breakfasts were delicious and coffee ready early. We upgraded one night and it was nice to relax in the room. The 2nd night we met another couple from Toronto and I think we will see each other again! The wine and cheese was delicious. We were so comfortable and we all had our own bathrooms. The beds were so comfy and everything was spotless. We plan on going back! Cindy and Drew Fairview Park, Oh.

Room Tip: They have a lil frig so bring what you want.

“Warm and cozy”

We knew from the moment we turned into the property that the experience of staying at the Marigold was going to be special. The house is charming and the hospitality exceptional.
The freshly made breakfast really hit the spot. The farm fresh eggs, homemade sausage, breads and a special treat of heirloom tomatoes grown on the property were prepared for our enjoyment. Our hosts made us feel very welcomed. Thank you for a very relaxed, comfortable stay.

“Charming home, beautiful setting”

Overall, I would give this B&B a 4 out of 5. My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend trip to get away from "busy" life. It was very relaxing. First of all, the house is in a beautiful location off of US Route 322 (easily accessible but not lots of traffic noise). Everything was very well taken care of and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. The bedrooms were small but well decorated - the 4-poster bed was beautiful! Each room had their own bathroom, so the privacy was nice. The breakfasts were delicious - the pancakes were divine! The hostess is very friendly and kind.

Now my "dislikes" regarding this stay. While the bedroom was beautifully decorated, the bathroom was a bit outdated, however. (Original faucet handles - beautiful in their original day, but green from age. Old counter tops.) And yes, the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Another major down side....there are no curtains on the windows! Yes, there are valances, but seriously...not even blinds? (no, not even in the bathroom!) We had to hang blankets in the windows. Lastly, my MAJOR concern is the "stinky" dog I've heard others refer to. The dog itself is sweet; I LOVE animals!...but it unfortunately has mange, which explains the hair loss and the smell. It's not his fault. The poor thing needs to see a vet ASAP. This condition is treatable! There are 2 types of mange (Demodectic and Sarcoptic). I'm not sure which type it has, but the "Sarcoptic" kind is contagious to humans. True the dog does not run and "interact" with the guests, but for the health of both the guests and the lovable dog......please take him to the vet!!! I'm not trying to sound harsh. This is a beautiful, relaxing place to stay. The owner was such a sweet woman. I still think this is a GREAT place to stay if you are in the area. I just hope the owner sees this review. I am so concerned for her dog. Hope that helps you in your research.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a recently updated bathroom.

“Great hospitality, Fascinating Atmosphere”

Do you like the fantasy of living in a great house? Do you enjoy a warm welcome, friendly conversation and a real desire to accommodate? Do you like to enjoy the our doors and a leisurely walk through a friendly wood?

I found all of these at Marigold B&B. Leaving another B&B that was "not as advertised" I needed a last minute reservation--no problem. When we arrived, Beverly and Mike and the Alpacas :) greeted us warmly. Since there were two rooms available at the time, we were offered our choice. Needing to check in with work, we were able to immediately logon the wireless with no problem. We had brought a DVD to watch and decide to watch it in the library where there was a flat screen TV with cable but no DVD player so we watched in on our laptop BUT—the very next night Beverly had a DVD player in hand—that was impressive and we watch another episode on the new DVD player.. Beverly was particularly attentive to our desire to eat healthy breakfast and gave use delicious meals that met our requirement. Other times we were free to enjoy the impressive house and beautiful grounds, animals and trails and my fantasies of living in such a grand place. I got so much more than a motel at the same price. I look forward to visiting again.

Room Tip: If you want a romantic evening, the room with the whirlpool looks like fun.
