The hotel was not very busy on the day we stayed there. Perhaps this was why we were upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi tub. The first room we were given completely clogged my sinuses within a half an hour. The front desk quickly assigned us a new room and things were fine. There was just something in that first room that was irritating my sinuses (mold, mildew, cat dander, cigarette smoke covered with heavy air freshner?). The new room was very comfortable with a safe for your valuables. The bathroom was very large and the shower had a good flow, although the shower head was just a little low for my liking. The bed was very comfortable and there were no sounds from the nearby airport. Breakfast in the morning was the usual Holiday Inn Express fare and since the hotel was not very full there was room in the breakfast room to sit. The breakfast staff was very attentive to things.

I was a little disappointed when I arrived that they couldn't accommodate our early check in but staff was nice and friendly and we enjoyed lunch at the Hard Rock while waiting and they made up for it by allowing late checkout at the end of our stay. The location is strange but I think this is just an Ohio thing. It was fairly close to the airport which was important for us. The hardest part was finding places to eat that were close by. The hotel itself was clean and well decorated. It had a very cute indoor pool and hot tub. It was small and the bottom could have used some paint but it was clean and refreshing and we had it all to ourselves. The suite was very comfortable with nice linens and pillows. The bathroom was huge!! Not really a necessity but I loved it! The jacuzzi sat in the corner of the room. It desperately needed new buttons/knobs because they were chipped and cracked. However, it worked fine so no real problem. Room also had a large fridge and microwave which always makes me happy. The hotel was full of girls soccer teams but we did not hear a peep so I have to say they have good insulation/sound proofing. Wireless internet worked well and was free which is also a plus in my book. And finally, free parking which has become a rarity in the larger cities (although this really wasn't downtown).

We stayed at the airport because this was a quick overnight trip. The front desk service was efficient and friendly, the room fine. The nice touch was a gift bag of cookies, crackers and water upon arrival (elite member). But even better what tasted like homemade soup, fruit and fresh baked cookies were available at 5pm. This was fortunate since I had no time for dinner between arrival and preparing for an evening presentation. At midnight plenty of nice apples including Gala apples were still available, of which I gratefully took one. The outside looks unlike any HI Express I've seen, but I'll stay there without doubt the next time I visit the Cleveland area.

I stayed at this hotel with my 2 kids and 2 of their friends. We were not rowdy or noisey but the front desk staff watched us constantly and kept coming into the pool area to check on us. They wouldn't even allow me(the parent) to have a bottle of water at the poolside, and I wasn't swimming. And the breakfast bar in the morning was from 7:30 to 9:30 only and at 9:15 we I rushed down to grab us some bagels to go, everything was gone. The staff had already cleaned up because they did have many guest so they thought they would close up shop early. When I complained that the breakfast was part of the hotel deal the manager simply said "I am sorry but breakfast is over" that's it! I will never return to this hotel and I usually have great luck with Holiday Inn Express, such a shame!
