“Great staff, wonderful location, Ruthie is the best!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2010

WE love staying at the location for Christmas however this Christmas it was under construction and that certainly took away from the ambience of the season. We had to eat in hotel rooms for our continental breakfast. That wasn't the best and missed the fireplace and decorations. I would not have stayed there for our family holiday had I known. The one thing that always remains the same is the friendly staff. From beginning to end. Ruthie is awesome and so nice to see every year. We will go back and it is usually a lovely place to stay.

“A short distance from the Air Force Museum.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2010

We stayed at the Residence Inn in Beavercreek (right off the I-675) for one night after a day at the Air Force Museum (about 15 minutes away). The two bedroom unit was nice and clean and the staff was friendly.

There were several restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. The breakfast buffet had plenty of food but our favorite item has always been a Belgium waffle you make in their waffle maker. We try to stay at Residence Inn’s when we are on short trips and have not been disappointed yet.

“Nice Clean Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

This place is your standard nice clean hotel. The front desk staff was very nice. The rooms are also the standard Res-Inn layout with separate beedroom and sitting room but the 'feel and furnishings' are older. No complaints at all on the housekeeping staff but make sure to use your door signs as one morning they were VERY early. There was free Hi-speed internet and free parking. There was a HOT breakfast every morning (your standard scambled eggs, potatoes, breakfast meat, breads, coffee, etc.). The only complaint here was that it was the EXACT SAME breakfast EVERY morning. The make-your-own waffles were really good though! The dining area was spacious as there were two rooms. I was there 6 days and it was actually pretty descent accommodations. I have now learned though that not all Residence Inn locations are as great as previous ones that I have stayed at!

“Great Hotel Wish Fantastic Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2010

I just returned from a 25 night stay and could not have been more pleased with the stay. The staff was top-notch and always made me feel like home. The hotel provides a great included breakfast everyday and a light dinner two to three nights a week. They offer grocery delivery service at no mark up and their in door pool is nice. They also have include internet and have access to a local gym at no additional cost. The only negative about staying at a Residence Inn in my opinion is you only get 5 points per dollar per night instead of 10. I would stay here again anytime since the staff and hotel is nice.

One other thing is the location is walking distance to a mall and many places to eat.

“An enjoyable stay....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2009

In the past we had stayed at the Courtyard in Beavercreek and haven’t had any complaints. This trip the Courtyard was full (due to renovations) so I was forced to find someplace new. I like Marriott hotels and tend to look for them first. I went to Trip Advisor and read the reviews for several Dayton area hotels and decided to go with the Residence Inn and I was very happy that we did. The hotel is not over the top but it provided my family with everything we needed. The hospitality of the staff was excellent they all said hello, even the staff working the breakfast buffet and the cleaning staff greeted you with smiles. The room was clean and well stocked (even free microwave popcorn). One negative, the mattresses were uncomfortable, very firm but may be perfect for others. The pull out sleeper sofa is your typical uncomfortable mattress but you can’t expect too much from a sleeper sofa. After the first night my daughter ended up sleeping on the couch vs. pulling out the mattress.
However the mornings made up for the firm mattress. It was a pleasure to go downstairs to have a hot FREE breakfast (Courtyard you have to pay) but what I enjoyed the most was the family room style setup in front of the TV and fireplace. It didn’t take long for my 2.5 year old son to discover the cabinet full of toys! We spent Thanksgiving morning watching the Macys Day Parade in front of the fire drinking coffee and my son played to his hearts content. Even a staff member came over and played along with him. The wireless connection is the room worked perfect. The pool and exercise room worked out well for the family and it was located within walking distance to the mall and several restaurants. Beware of Logan’s Roadhouse, slow service and wrong order. The empty restaurant should have been a sign to go elsewhere. I also like that they serve a light dinner/snack M-W for free. It is a perfect meal for kids or a light dinner.
I will have to say that Marriott wins again in my book but I think Courtyard in Beavercreek lost a customer. The free breakfast and the kids toys won me over!
