I arrived at this hotel at approximately 3AM without a reservation, but I had called earlier in the evening to confirm that rooms were available. When I got to the lobby, I found the doors to be secured from the inside, and my means of communication to be through a security window. That would have been fine, except for the fact the other side of the window was vacant.

Despite repeatedly pushing the call button, and actually calling the property, it took a full fifteen minutes for a groggy, blood-shot eyed attendant to emerge from somewhere within the back office. He apologized and noted that he hadn't been feeling well. After ringing us out twice (the first time with an incorrect price), he gave us our keys and we settled in for the night.

The room was clean and comfortable, and due to my itinerary I was not able to participate in the Super 8 Breakfast, which appeared to be standard fair. Upon checkout, I mentioned our experience to the morning attendant, who let out a soft chuckle and nodded as if to say this wasn't their first complaint about the guy.

At $55 + Tax (after a coupon), it was by far the most affordable port in the storm. I will definitely consider upgrading, however, to one of the numerous surrounding properties when traveling through the area again.

This was a one-night return visit to this hotel. The rate, location, TripAdvisor reviews and previous stay were deciding factors. The stay this time around was just average. The desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. The room was an appropriate size and had standard furnishings. One oddity that should be fixed--in order to have both bedside lamps lit simultaneously they had to be plugged into an extension cord that ran across the top of the bed. The room had a slight odor of mildew; perhaps it hadn't been aired out in a while. The A/C worked, but it was very loud. I had to turn it off in order to sleep. Fortunately the room was cool enough to do that. The bed was not terribly comfortable, but it served its purpose. The shower had good height and water pressure. There were a few mildew spots in the bathroom that were easily washed off. Overall, it was not too bad. On my next trip to Cleveland certainly I'll consider staying here again. I'll check with the (several) other hotels in the immediate area, though, for competitive rates.

Over the 4 years our son went to college in Cleveland, we settled on this Super 8 for ease of access, comfortable beds, clean rooms (though hallways and staircases were often in various conditions and stages of renovation), low cost, free internet and simple basic motel breakfast. Desk service was friendly and responsive, and we never had a problem.This hotel was consistently safe and adequate, and was worth returning to over a dozen times. But we were always aware that this was a budget level hotel.

It was very uncomfortable. I realized it was a bad place when the security lights stayed on all night, keeping me awake and affraid.
