Being high on Trip Advisor ranking and charging MORE than a five star city hotel, Bellevue set expectations. Unfortunately, none were met. This is a very clean, but very tired establishment lacking any character or charm. It is a plain suburban house, not updated since being built some 20 years ago. The walls are paper thin, we heard the man in the next room snoring and breakfast conversations woke us up. The bathrooms are dated, the furniture is plain and cheap and old as is the bed linen and towels. The sheets were so thin we worried we might tear them. The English owners are pleasant and polite, but there is no excuse for charging such a premium rate and offering nothing in return. When we asked about Internet, we were told to go to the local library. This is plain stingy and rude as our devices detected their wifi. The rooms were too small for even a chair and the TV is the smallest screen size possible. Our tip is to stay in Adelaide and day trip to McLaren Vale as it is a very short drive, or stay at one of the wineries like The Chapel.
Overall, this is a clean 2 star establisment that charges 5 star rates.
Room Tip: Only two rooms - both small and both without views.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Trip Advisor.
It is a concern that your stay was not what you expected as we always ensure that our website is accurate in describing our package and all the facilities we have to offer.
Our aim is to ensure you have a good night's sleep and an excellent 3 course gourmet breakfast.
You will recall that, upon check-in, when you enquired about the use of wi-fi I explained that it is not available. Wi-Fi access is not something we advertise on our website as it will not be available for guest use until the end of this month.
The wi-fi service you could see on your devices was in fact the neighbouring properties wi-fi service.
We did, however, recommended three venues in the town, the Visitor Information Centre, local library and the closest restaurant to Bellevue (100m) where all have free wi-fi access.
Our home was built only 12 years ago (exceeding building standards) so your comments about the paper thin walls and dated bathroom are also a concern and not something that has been brought to our attention by any of our other guests.
As the bedrooms are standard domestic sizes we feel a 17" (43cm) HD- LCD TV is appropriate.
The quality of the Logan & Mason bed sheets and Dri-glo towels used in the B&B are monitored and we are puzzled as to your comments that they appeared cheap and old.
Being Irish; we pride ourselves on our hospitality, courteousness and welcoming attitude to all our guests.
Again, thank you for posting your review on TripAdvisor.
