After a enjoyable day driving around the Florieau Peninsula we were greeted by our charming hosts, Jenny and Ciarán, who showed us around the accommodation and supplied a welcoming afternoon tea in the guests living area.
Bellevue B & B is located at the northern end of McLarenVale township and is walking distance to cellar doors as well as some amazing restaurants alleviates the "drinking and driving problems. (Note: Many are closed on a Monday night so you may have to venture further afield to eat on that day). Our room with ensuite was warm and welcoming and opened to the guests dining and lounge area, with tea and coffee making facilities, overlooking a picturesque courtyard. This accommodation is a modern well finished and tastefully decorated building with central heating to keep you warm in the winter months.
A delicious home-made 3 course breakfast was a good start to each day lining our stomachs for a day of wine tasting, at some of the country’s best wineries. Our hosts had plenty of information and suggestions at hand for our day’s touring which ensured we did not miss some of the area’s best attractions.
I travelled with my elderly mum and we both thank Jenny and Ciarán for their part in making our first, and not last, visit to McLaren Vale a wonderful experience.
