Having stayed in many B&B's, Hibiscus Lodge rates as one of the best. Robert and Adrienne were outstanding hosts, even inviting us to share a glass of wine with them as the sun set. Nothing was too much trouble and our room was clean and comfortable. We spent a delightful few hours in the lovely swimming pool. Breakfast was delicious, even freshly made muffins on our second day watched over by 2 wallabies in their delightful well-maintained garden. The crowning moment just before we reluctantly left was the arrival of a Cassawary!

Thankyou Anthony and Carol. Pleased you had a great stay at Hibiscus Lodge and Mission Beach.
So pleased you saw our resident cassowary on your last morning. Actually we have 2 now much to our delight. A small juvenile turned up 2 days ago.
You will have to return next year to visit our new cassowary which we have not named yet.
Look forward to seeing you both next year. Remember to book a larger room next time (Hibiscus Room would be better for you)

“Relaxing, refreshing, restful”
What a fantastic place to stay. Comfortable beds, lovely rooms, delicious tropical breakfasts, delightful garden, wonderful hosts and even regular cassowary sightings.

“Warm,friendly and comfortable”
Apart from wet weather (outside our control!), we had a great time with Robert and Adrienne. The breakfasts were beautiful, they were full of local knowledge of what to do and see in the area and we were welcomed into their home as friends.
The room was very clean and comfortable, the surroundings lovely and even a friendly game or two of croquet on the lawn was great evening entertainment. If the opportunity arose, we would definitely stay here again!

Sorry about the one day of rain we had in May. Its all in the timing.
Weather in Mission Beach is now a perfect winter. Clear blue sky and about 27 deg with very little rain. Just perfect in this paradise called Mission Beach.
Look forward to our next game of croquet. So pleased you enjoyed it.

“Just Wonderful”
My husband and I stayed at Hibicus Lodge and were absolutely thrilled with the accommodation and great hosts. We will certainly be returning as it was a highlight of our trip to Australia. Such wonderful breakfasts, comfy beds and lovely people.
