My friend and I rented one of the villas in advance of a wedding. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the new villas with a wonderful deck overlooking the paddocks and Lake Baroon. The facilities of the room were superb - great spa and an impressive entertainment system. The breakfast was delicious and the hospitality received by Ken and Daphne was incredibly warm. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anyone.

I recently stayed 2 nights in Ken's brand new villa at Maleny Tropical Retreat with 2 very dear girlfriends. We had planned the weekend for quite a while to take some quality girlfriend time together. Ken's down to earth hospitality combined with the beautiful Balinese influence of the newly built villa set the tone for a lovely weekend. The villa had a generous double spa; 3D plasma TV; cows in the fields below; awesome views; lovely double shower; comfy beds and a great wrap around deck that was a perfect venue for early morning yoga :-) We topped off a great time with a post brekky walk down to Obi Obi Creek for a dip and then enjoyed the ling trek back up with our friendly 4 legged escorts! Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a fun girls time away such as ours, this retreat will be a treat! Thanks Ken and Daph for your warm hospitality..I will be back! Mary J.

My wife and I enjoyed the country hospitality of the hosts...The rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed waking up in the morning to the views and the birds calling not to mention the sound of the river below, which was great for a swim on a hot day.

Two friends and I planned this girls getaway weekend long ago not realising that we would be the first ones to stay at the new Tanah Lot villa at Maleny Tropical Retreat. We were very surprised at how stunning it is and the quality of the hospitality that Ken and Daph showed to us. While the double spa and queen size bed and day bed are really designed for couples, it provided excellent facilities for us girls who have been friends for 26 years! We enjoyed the Eumundi markets, Noosa and Montville / Maleny areas but found the villa such a relaxing home base. We loved the gourmet cooked breakfasts!! We loved the early morning yoga in our PJ's on the deck overlooking the cows!! What a way to start the day.... We also had a great swim at the swimming hole and walk around the property. I had not seen a 3D TV before and thought that amazing! Great selection of movies and music too. We absolutely loved it all and cannot wait to return with our husbands now!!
