“Lovely Stay”

Stayed in a treetop bungalow and it was lovely, bathroom a bit small but the gorgeous bathroom products really made up for it. Not the most posh room we have ever stayed in but the location made up for that, with the screened in balcolny you can leave your doors open all night and wake up to the sound of the rain forest. The restaurant was a bit expensive but the food was really nice and sitting on the lagoon is just a beautiful setting. The girls in the restaurant are great and nothing is to much trouble. Actually we found all the staff lovely and more than helpful. You also get complementary toast and tea/coffee for breaky. So my husband likes a big breakfast so he had that and i didnt have to pay for my toast and coffee. I thought that was a good add extra. I must admit that i thought it was good value, except we did buy vouchers throught cudo and only paid $190 per night, if we had paid full rate maybe this review might be a little different. Also dont forget to do the walk up to the waterfall.

Room Tip: Get a room up high we were in room 6 better than the lower rooms i think

“Shabby Bungalow”

This was a very expensive and disappointing experience. The rooms needs renovation and the pool and sundeck are rather dirty. The food is OK and our guide Juan did a good job showing us the rainforrest, but it does not make up for the lack of cleanliness. If you are going to daintree, stay in Port Douglas, this place is definitely not worth the money

Room Tip: I doubt there are any good rooms found on this hotel, and the dirty jacuzzi in our so called spa bay...

IF you expect a luxery Spa, this is not the place to be.The pool and the sundeck are dirty and has not been used for long.
If you want to stay in the rain forest with all facilities, a balcony up the trees and listen to the sounds of the rain forest in the middle of the night, then this place works

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

We booked one night on a Cudo deal for $190 to start off our wedding holiday. We called reception at 8am to see how early we could check in as we had arrived on 4am flight. We were told to come in straight away and we were checked into our room by 8.30am. Absolutely stunning, as soon as we walked in we were wishing we had booked longer. The deal came with a guided aboriginal tour which we unfortunately missed because we fell asleep straight away. The bed was comfortable and it was so peaceful, we slept for hours. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and the service was great. I highly recommend the rainforest salad with berries and the warm banana pudding. I am not a dessert eater but cannot stop thinking about how great it was. I have since emailed them and they have offered to send me the recipe. Spa on the balcony was a big plus. I think it cost us about $50 to upgrade. The balcony is surrounded by a screen to keep out mosquitos. Gorgeous and very private. Great location, close to go croc spotting or to Cape Tribulation. We had a car but I am sure I saw that they have a car for hire there. Did not have any spa treatments so cannot comment on that. If it wasnt for us getting married elsewhere we would've stayed longer. Will definitely return.
Thank you to all the friendly staff.

Room Tip: Our room was lower so a bit closer to restaurant and we had no problem at all with noise so I cant i...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We had a spa room for five nights and it truly was lovely and peaceful experience. Close to places to see crocs and only a short drive to Cape Tribulation too. A try beautiful place in the world, The restaurant also has some wonderful food and the staff are professional and friendly.
