My partner and I stayed here overnight as we were visiting friends locally. I had requested a quiet room with a balcony - well, we got the balcony but the room wasn't quiet as there was a flight of stairs the other side of the wall adjacent to the bed headboard, so we could hear the stairs constantly creaking. The room was very small, hardly room for the two of us to move around easily, and you couldn't hang a full length garment in the very small wardrobe as the hanging space was only jacket length. We weren't happy but thought we would stick with it as we weren't going to be there long, but the final straw was when my partner put the robe on after his bath and discovered a pocket full of the previous wearer's Spa paperwork - and then on closer inspection it was very obvious from the stains that the robe hadn't been laundered at all but just folded up on to the hangar and left for the next occupant. He went to reception and told them of the problems and they immediately offered to move us to a quiet room, and said they would move everything while we were out for the evening. This they did, and the new room was much better - much cleaner, bigger, quieter and the robes were fresh! It does make you wonder why they couldn't have put us in this room in the first place, as it was obviously available.....
So only three stars for "Average" as we were disappointed with our stay.
