“Can't wait to visit again!”

Three of us were booked in for 2 nights -3 & 4 November. We had two fantastic rooms (5 & 6) on the first floor. They were really good sized rooms with ensuite - good decoration and furnishing with attractive ensuite - immaculately clean. Duvet cover and towels were all quality items Hot drinks facility in room - ranging from fresh coffee to Earl Grey tea along with multi channel tvs!.

We were given a warm welcome and shown our rooms - really helpful staff - helped with bags etc.

Breakfast was excellent - great choices and fresh local produce used - mushrooms were great!

We had dinner in the restaurant - 10 of us in total - on the Friday night - good range of choices - with many items locally sourced. Lovley fresh vegetables provided with the main courses. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Being London based I didnt consider the prices unreasonable - another reviewer commented on the treacle tart being costly- some of our guests had it with ice cream and said how good it was! .I enjoyed the selection of local Ice Cream - delicious!

Allthough a remote setting it was close to Cromer and other attractions and had a lovely sense of calm. It was great to wake on the first morning and look out of the window and see a field full of rabbits and pheasants. We also enjoyed the wood burner in the bar and huge log fire in the restaurant.

Looking forward to a future visit to the Saracen's and to meet Tim and his staff again.

“Refuge in the wilderness”

My wife & I enjoyed a good meal helped down with a nice Prosecco, which was followed by a comfortable nights sleep in a huge bed. This Inn is very isolated, so lots of tranquility at night - and it's also very quirky. Our room was a good size with a lovely bathroom, but at £95 maybe slightly overpriced. However, an enjoyable stay and well worth a visit.

“in the middle of everywhere”

had 3 nights b& b at saracens head this week, a lovely looking place in a very rural and quiet setting. You need a sat nav to find it unless you know the area. The bedroom was immaculately clean ,lovely white duvet covers and lovely fluffy towels in a large and warm bathroom. Tim welcoming and all staff we saw very friendly. One young waitress printed off some details for us about some gardens we wanted to visit which was really helpful.
Breakfasts were everything we hoped for ,plentiful and well cooked fresh food and some wow mushrooms you must try.We had an excellant evening meal one evening at the Saracens which was lovely and the place was busy which was nice to see in the middle of the week in the middle of september in the middle of nowhere. There are many excellant places to visit without having to travel to far.

“lovely play to stay in countryside”

We found this via the Good Pub Guide and Trip Advisor. Doubtful whether you would come across it by chance as it is situated along narrow lanes and is entirely on its own. However, this is a great place to stay. Excellent room, beautifully renovated and kept. Food in the evening was rather pricey (6.50 for a slice of treacle tart is well over the top) but the main courses were superbly cooked. Friendly welcome. The bar area is compact but the beer is local and well kept. Breakfast was as good as it gets, though the service between starters and the hot dishes was very slow. But this is a minor point in an otherwise great place to stay.

If you manage to track down this pub then take the time to go in and have a drink and something to eat. The food is excellent, the owner, Tim is warm and welcoming and the real ale is well kept. There is a lovely courtyard outside to sit in.
