During my training at East Midlands airport I stayed at this hotel for a period of 3 months. I was first attracted to this hotel due to its location and short drive from the airport but over my time that I stayed there it became a second home for me.
The hotel has lots to offer. It has a large relaxing bar to sit in, swimming pool, a gym, which although small has most of the machines you would expect to find in a larger gym. The rooms are also very comfortable, with a decent sized double bed, television, tea making facilities and a safe too. The rooms are quiet, which was important for me since most of my time was spent studying in my room. I also slept well since you cannot hear the traffic outside and the bed was comfortable to sleep on. The rooms are also kept very clean. Infact the whole hotel is clean and well maintained. I never had any problems for the 3 months I stayed there with the facilities on offer. The shower was good too, just the right temperature and power which is important when I had to get up at 4am most mornings!
In terms of location the hotel is close to East Midlands airport. It is about a 5 minute drive away, plus you do not need to use the motorway to get there so there was no problem with rush hour traffic. I wanted a place that wasn't on the airport since I have lived on enough airports over the last 2 years! Kegworth itself has a few pubs which you wouldn't find if u stayed at a hotel at the airport so for me it was nice get away from the airport environment. The hotel has a large car park too which I felt safe to leave my car in during my 3 month stay.
But for me the best thing about my stay here is how friendly all the staff were, from the first moment I arrived there to the day I left they looked after me very well. It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel and since I have to come back to East Midlands every 6 months to do my recurrent training I will always be coming back to this hotel. when we arrived at this hotel, first of all the car parking facilities were extremlty secure in the fact they had car park barriers and cameras surrounding. The check in was really smooth and the reception staff was very helpful and gave good informaton about the hotel. We stayed in room 204 junior suit. The room was very large and was cleaned to a very high standard, with a lovely spacious en suite. We was also impressed about having a balcony with our room! Even though the hotel is next to an airport, we could not hear a pin drop whilst we were sleeping. The evening dinner and breakfast in the morning were both very good and couldnt wish for better staff. All in all our stay couldnt of been better and will deffinatly be returning!

I recently stayed at the whitehouse when i had family members visiting from north east. Due to the reasonalble prices we took the oppertunity to stay as well and we were very impressed. One thing that stood out upon arrival was although it is a stone through from the M1 and airport, you did not hear either from the car park or whilst in your room.
The service from the staff was brilliant. They were so guest forcused and always at hand to assist. From check in staff to bar staff, everyone we encountered over our 3 night stay were brilliant - well trained too. The food was what you would expect in a high class resturant, good selection, presentation and quality, and very reasonably priced.
As an added bonus, we also enjoyed the hotels fitness suit and pool. All facilities were well maintained and clean. staff always on hand to assist yet again.
Some of our group had beauty treatment during our stay - massages, nails and spray tan's. The prices were so reasonable in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in that offer these kind of treatments.
The rooms were fresh and clean. I dont think I have ever slept so well in a hotel bed.
Overall, Kegworth whitehouse hotel is brilliant. I highly recommend it over the other hotels near the airport - holiday inn express etc as these are almost situated on the runway!
Ideal for a relaxing night away as couples/ families.

My husband and I attended the New Years Eve Ball for the first time this year and would just like to say what a fantastic time we had!! Our room was lovely, very large and roomy with a balcony, flat screen tv, tea/coffee/biscuits etc, a large spacious bathroom, and robes. We checked in earlier than the 2pm check in time but this was no problem, the reception staff were very helpful and accommodating - we had a quick dip in the pool before going out for the afternoon.
The ball was absolutely fantastic and excellent value for money - it included a champagne reception and an absolutely beautiful 5 course meal (compliments to the chef!) followed by a dance. The room was beautifully decorated and the waiting staff very efficient.
Breakfast was just what we needed the next morning!!
All in all we had an excellent night and will most definitely be going again next year - thank you!!
